(Sam's POV)

My heart races as Kian's arm remains around my neck, as if serving a purpose there. And the purpose, was to make me happy of course. The thing Kian did best.

I step on to the boat across the drawbridge the captain has just extended, but misplace my footing and almost fall off the boat. Kian takes his arm from my neck and places both hands on my waist and pulls me back from the deep and dark waters below.

I pant slightly, half scared to death. "Woah, thanks Kian!" I manage to get out while I'm hugging him tightly. My heart does half a dozen flips as Kian's hands tighten around my waist and hold me close to him for a considerable amount of time. It's not a 'bro' hug, like the ones he gives the other boys. His hugs to me are different, they show how much more he cares about me than them. It sounds petty, but he truly does. I just wish it was more than friendship that compelled him to do the things he does for me.

"Anything for you, Sammy," he says, making me melt even more. He suddenly scoops my whole body up, and carries me wedding style. Everyone laughs.

"Can't have you falling again, can I?" Kian explains, walking with me in his arms onto the boat.

What the hell is going on in my head? My heart beat sure's going a mile a minute. Kian. Is. HOLDING. me. in his arms. ohmygod. this is really happening.

"How can you lift me up? I'm way too heavy.." I mutter.

Kian gulps and stops in his place, revealing eyes that fill quickly with tears.

"Sam, you're not... please don't think that about yourself." he whispers sweetly into my ear.

"We need to talk.." he whispers, putting me down on the boat, and I stand next to him. Those are not good words to hear. From anyone. At any circumstance.

Trevor and Ricky go over to the hot tub to check it out, while Jc and Lia look for dolphins and whales on the deck. All who's left is Kian, me, and the captain.

"I'll be in the captain's room if you need me," the captain said, and then left us.

Kian looked down at me with sadness in his eyes. "I really was serious about that. We do need to talk."

I gulp. "About what?" I ask.

"Just some things that need to be said," he answers. He grabs his room key out of his pocket, well, our room key. Ricky and Trevor are sharing a room, and so are Jc and Lia, so that leaves Kian and I to ourselves. Literally there is no better place to be than in a hotel room with Kian. He's hilarious, and he always pulls pranks on room service. But most of all, I want to be in the same room with him because he gets nightmares. I'm not saying it's particularly a good thing, but when Kian gets nightmares, he likes to cuddle up to me and fall asleep.

"Let's check out the room and talk there," he says, walking to the elevators, and gesturing for me to follow.

I run after him and we get in the small elevator. This cruise ship is massive, it has fifteen floors! Our room is on the top floor, so I'm sure we'll have an amazing view.

Our room is number 13, which is ironic because that's our number. Our number we used for superkian13 and kiansam13, our youtube channels together when we were younger.

"Hey, we have room 13!" I point out, and Kian smiles.

"That's our number!"

We hear someone sigh behind us and turn around. It's a familiar face, for sure. Just not a familiar face I ever wanted to see again.
