Yay! End of the Saga that are BTS centric.
Here are the subjects that I laid out when I started this book:
- Sister Relationship between Jan and Hani
- Namjoon's lucky streak ending
- The complications of dating because they were idols
- Conclusion for each member.Jan and Hani:
My sister is awesome but since the age gap between us is significant, it's not our story. There are times though that I think I will be in the same position as Jan if in case we were twins.
Most story like this ends up with the sister having a change of heart and returning to the guy just as they finally got together.
I would like to do it differently because Jan would never pursue Namjoon if she think Hani would have a change of heart. She knew off bat that her sister loves her fiancé because of how her attitude changed. Hani in turn would not come in between them knowing her sister loves Namjoon.
It'll be much more dramatic that way but I want the story to focus more on the conflict of Bangtan's dating.
I always wanted to insert that fact (That Hani knew about her sister's feelings) in earlier chapters, but it didn't came to that. I had to so I made it into a phone call in one of the last few chapters.
I always wondered how hard it is to have a twin. Especially if your twin is better than you so I still include it in the first chapters.
Namjoon's Lucky Streak:
In the beginning of Butterfly, I already thought that it was Namjoon who planned things all along. I would like to think that he's good in cliche talks, uplifting morale but is bad at heavy talks. Hence he only makes every situation in his favor so he could finally have the talk with a specific agenda in mind.
The premise of this saga is that Namjoon got better to the point of getting cocky for solving all their issues by initiating a bet and letting out suggestions that makes the member think it was their decision but in fact it was Namjoon who pushed them in that direction.
Then with Jan, nothing he planned went right. Nothing that he predicted that Jan would do materialized.
When Jan avoided him after the ref incident, he somewhat knew that she had feelings for him. The plan to win Hani back is just a distraction for him but eventually when Jan said yes, he was sort of relieved that Jan didn't like him and went with the ploy.
The turnaround was when Jan kissed him and he felt her emotions. It was during Jan's POV so I wasn't able to convey clearly that the reason Namjoon stayed to talk to him was to ask her if she liked her before during the ref incident but he lost his courage.
I wasn't able to convey well the reason why Jan liking Namjoon was essential to Jessie's plan. The plan was for Namjoon to lure Jan into taking the Paris scholarship again without raising Hyunwoo's suspicion. He needs to hang with Jan and Hyunwoo for Jan to realize that she didn't really love her boyfriend. Eventually betraying him to be with Namjoon.
There was supposed to be conversation between Jessie and Namjoon wherein Namjoon will mock how weak Jessie's planning is and ends up with Namjoon confessing the stuff he did before as a brag. He angers Jessie because of the mix tape (which among all the things Jessie did, she was really sorry for)and was about to crush his balls but Yoongi intervened so she crushed his balls instead.
That was an awesome scene that didn't fit anywhere. I'm glad I did this end notes.
