3: The Way to the Moon

What I loved most about my moon was that she was humble, kind-hearted, and smart. Too smart.

If she didn't want to be found, I know no one would ever find her. But something nagged in me though. I doubt she doesn't want to be found-maybe not right away, but surely she'd want someone to find her. Lucky for her, that someone is me.

She may not want to be found by anyone, and she may hide her tracks but she can never hide from me.

If it were any other person, they would never think of Shen Yue leaving a trail of sorts. They'd just assume the worst and their panic would overwhelm them. But I know her-she's fine physically, though I'm not so sure with her emotional health-she would leave something to ensure that if something were to happen, I can find her. In this case, I do. It started off as a game between us, to see which one is a better "tracker" or "sleuth". It was one of those days, years ago, that we were bored out of our minds and came up with it. We'd often have monthly tracker "dates"-a "date" (funny, since we weren't even dating) that we spent trying to find the other-and we'd switch it up every month, me finding her and her finding me.

I was worried, yes, but not that much because I know I can and I will find her.

I went back to my apartment to pack a few things into a leather LV duffle bag. I packed the necessities for travel. On the last minute, I decided to bring another suitcase, just in case it might take longer to find her or we'd stay where ever she was at.

I took a few minutes to make arrangements. I called Hao ge, my manager, and my agency and telling them I was taking my scheduled vacation earlier than expected. It was a blessing I finished my projects ahead of time. They agreed with no hesitance, since I was only taking it 2 weeks earlier than planned, so it was no hassle.

After that was sorted, I hopped back into my BMW, calling Xize on the way with my bluetooth earpiece on, as I maneuvered through the streets.

"What's going on bro?" I hear his voice as soon as the line connected.

"I went to her condo. As expected, she wasn't there."

He cursed, "Dammit, where's our little Cai?" That was our nickname for her ever since MG, all of F4 call her that, seeing her as their little sister, except for me of course-she was my moon.

"I'm working on that."

"Where are you now? Have you contacted Mama Shen?"

"Yes, I just called her awhile ago. She'll be responsible to tell the rest of the family."

"Hold on, bro, I've got Kuan and Kang on the line. I'm making this 4-way."

I hummed my agreement, my grip on the wheel tightening as I sped faster.

"Brother." "Bro." I hear a chorus of voices, Kuan and Kang.

"Hello, guys. Sorry this catch up won't be pleasant."

"Let's not worry about that," Kang said.

"Have you contacted any authorities yet?" I hear Kuan ask worryingly.

"No, I don't think we need to call them in yet. I'm on my way to her."

Xize spoke up, "Do you know where she is?"

"Not yet, but my gut is telling me that she might be somewhere familiar to us."

"Didi, bring our little Cai back safely." Kang softly says.

"If you need anything, call us back. We'll be here for you both." Kuan immediately chimed in.

"Yes, we'll be by our phones. Say the word, we'll do it," Xize agreed.

I chuckle softly despite the situation. They were the best friends I could ever have. No, scratch that, they were more than my friends-they are my brothers.

"Thank you brothers. I'll call when I need you."

"No problem." "Take care." "We love you. Be safe." All of them say simultaneously.

"Love you all." and with that, I disconnected the call.

As I sped through the familiar road, I called another person. As soon as he picked up,

"I need a favour."

Hold on, Shen Yue, I'm coming.

This wasn't what I wanted for this chapter, but I need to move on with the plot AHHHHH

This is very short and I apologize. I hope the F4 friendship satisfies you enough from missing Yue.

Don't worry guys, our little Yue may or may not be in the next chapter. We'll see where my imagination takes us. Just be more patient with me!
