Night at the Museum: The Pharaoh's Desert Flower

Fright Night

"This is best idea you've had yet, Gigantor! What's the plan? How are we going to turn this place into a scare-a-palosea?", Jed said with a smile. "Well, I've talked to McPhee and he said tomorrow the decorating begins. Ahk is getting the music ready and I want you guys to be in charge of the lights.", Larry said. "How will we ever reach the lights?", Octavious asked. "Well, we do have this.", Larry stated as he walked over to the reception desk and pointed to a tiny remote control plane. " "YEEEEEE-HA!! WE'RE GONNA GET TO FLY A PLANE!!", Jed said to Octavious. "I'm actually quite nervous.", Octavious said out loud. "Oh come on! It'll be fun!!", Jed said as he climbed into the plane. "I won't hold my breath just yet.", Octavious mumbled as he climbed in after him. 

  Larry shook his head and chased after Dextar who misciviously took his keys yet again and ran off with them. Ahkmenrah was in his exhibit, looking at his sarcophagus. He had spent what seemed like an eternity in it screaming and yelling to be let out, until Larry came along. He had been in Larry's debt ever since he freed him that fateful night, and ever since then Larry would unlock him from his sarcophagus and help him out of it every night. So what Larry told him to do, he could do, but the thought of being trapped in that sarcophagus still haunted him. There was going to be people coming to the museum for 'fright night' is how Larry put it and Larry told him the customs of his modern American world, so he was rather confused but also understanding. He was told to scare people when they came to his exhibit by jumping out of his sarcophagus. Now Ahkmenrah respected Larry as a guardian of Brooklyn, but what Larry asked him to do, he just didn't expect that Larry would ever ask him. It was only for a little while, until the dance party at the end, so Ahkmenrah agreed. 

  They would do this for four nights leading up to Halloween, and only on special nights. So when the first night was through the Pharaoh was relieved. One night down. Three to go. Scaring people wasn't really so bad, sometimes it was actually very funny. Although the young Pharaoh didn't fully understand why people wanted to be scared. He had been scared for 50 years and developed a phobia of confined spaces. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. Night after night he scared people. And the first few nights it was crowded, so it really amped up his nerves. Three down. One to go. On the night they called Hallow's Eve, there were fewer people. Larry had said that he predicted it because most people go out on that night with friends and the little ones went out 'Trick-Or-Treating' as Larry would say. Ahkmenrah was very confused with the holiday. As he thought he had scared the last group of people, a couple of girls found their way into his exhibit, and he smiled to himself. Last group of people to scare. On the last night. If his huge jackal guards weren't enough to scare them, he surely would. He jumped up from his sarcophagus and scared the three girls. Their screams echoed the halls as they left. Just when he thought he was done, a few moments later he heard a female voice. 

  "Guys wait for me!!", she said a bit nervous, and flustered. 'Good.', the young Pharaoh thought, 'It shall be easy to scare her.' Though he wanted to get this whole scaring thing over with, for some particular reason, he thought about scaring her in a unique way. The thought of sneaking up on her intrigued him. So he waited, until she passed his jackal guards who for some reason remained still, and passed his sarcophagus. Besides the mustiness and dirt of his bandages, he could easily smell something floral and sweet. 'Must be her perfume.', he thought to himself. She breathed out a sigh, and mumbled something under her breath. Now was the moment.
