THIRD PERSON POV
Kahmunrah searched all over for the tablet and the sands of time but found neither. He was frustrated. Extremely frustrated. He told himself that he would find what he was looking for. That he would get what he deserved. That he would PROVE to his brother that HE was the rightful air to the throne. After all, it was HIS birthright, what with him being the older brother. For some reason, he felt like he didn't want it anymore. Those thoughts and what Tori had said earlier confused him greatly. Why did he get the sense that something really WAS wrong with him? Just then he heard Tori and his little baby brother walk into the room.
"Oh what NOW?!", he raged as he turned around. "Brother, please. The time is upon us for the sands of time to start again. We need your help. Larry, myself and the others do not know how to move the sands of time forward. Is there any knowledge of the sands of time that you could give us? Please, brother. Let us work together to move time forward.", Ahkmenrah pleaded with his brother. Kahmunrah rolled his eyes at his little brother, "Can't you see, I'm a little busy at the moment?" "Do you want the tablet?", Ahkmenrah asked his big brother while Tori shifted nervously beside him. He could tell she wasn't on board with that idea. It didn't matter. To Kahmunrah, he was ready to get his plan over with so the world could be his.
He was just plain frustrated with trying to live up to his 'evil' reputation that some of the things he cared so greatly for didn't even matter to him now. Killing innocent civilians of nearby rebellious countries because of their loyalty to his baby brother. He thought about it. Just the sound of or even the mention of his little brother's name filled him with such a rage, that he killed whoever spoke of him. Even at the Smithsonian, he did not even kill Larry Daily of Daily Divices when he went on and on about knowing his little brother. However, it was because he had something that he desired, so he thought. But here was his little goodie-two-shoes spoiled baby brother standing before him and he didn't even want to hurt him. Something was very wrong. Very wrong indeed.
"Kah, we want to help you.", Tori said from behind his baby brother's protective stance. 'As if I would hurt her!', he thought out of frustration, 'That would be a waste of time, and would be pointless.' "What would you help me with? Hm? Why you're just a little peasant woman! And YOU!", he narrowed his eyes at his little brother, " Do you really think that after all these years you could really TRUST me? Here I am trying to rule the world, and you think I want to display the tablet in my tomb like deco-art!"
After a long moment of silence, Kahmunrah spoke again,"There's nothing I want from you. Please go away. I shall find the tablet and the sands of time by myself, and when you find that the tablet is missing you will FINALLY know who will be in charge." Kahmunrah wasn't convincing himself with his speech and he even felt very conflicted about it. 'The sooner this is over, the better.', he said as he turned back to what he was doing. "We have the tablet and the sands of time, Kah and if you think we are going to just hand it over to you, then you are gravely mistaken. We want you to corporate with us, so that we can move time forward. There is no sense in ruling a world that stands still.", Ahkmenrah told his brother. Kahmunrah found himself turning around and even fought back a smile,"You are right. It would be quite boring. Alright, I shall help you in this endeavor but make it a count that this is the first and last time I help you with something. And don't start getting any ideas, baby brother. I am still your enemy, and the moment... ..the very MOMENT, that time moves forward I shall switch sides faster than you can even breathe, or say,'Oh no! Big brother has betrayed me!' Don't even expect me to shower you with brotherly love! You wanna know why?" He let the suspense rise thick in the air, waiting for his little brother to actually SAY the words he wanted to hear,"Because....." "Because I stole the throne.", Ahkmenrah finally said the words out loud. He knew it was true, even though hated to admit it to himself and even worse, to admit it out loud in front of his love. " YES!!! He FINALLY admits it!! My little brother is THRONE STEALER!!", Kahmunrah laughed,"If you were American, they would put this on your tombstone 'Here lies Ahk. The spoiled favorite and THRONE STEALER.'" After his laughter subsided he smiled at the ground with a sigh, then looked back up at a puzzled Tori, and a frustrated and defeated Ahkmenrah. "I feel so much better. Let's go. We quite literally have no time to waste.", Kahmunrah held back another laugh that was escaping as he realized what he just said and led the way down the hall.
