                                                                              TORI'S POV

We walked through the exhibits getting upstairs, in the little 'haunted' parts. Ahk never got scared, but i got 'jump scared' a few times. Ahk only smiled. I guess nothing phased him. We then made our way downstairs when we heard a guy named Dr. McPhee on the speakers throughout the museum saying that the dance party was about to start. When we got downstairs we were greeted by My sister, mom, and Shelby, ogling at me and the handsome mummy. Larry was at the reception desk trying to reason with Octavious and Jedidiah. When he turned to see me and Ahk come down the stairs. He looked quizical then understanding. "Well, I guess Tori really did find herself a boyfriend.", Tiffany said quietly to Shelby who giggled. I mouthed 'stop' to her. Even though i wanted it to be true. I looked up at Ahk and instantly looked down at the ground. He was looking at Larry sharing a knowing look. 'He wasn't that into me', thought attacked my mind. I looked down at my shoes. Larry spoke up, "Ahk, you wanna get set up?" "Yeah.", he nodded at Larry, andthen looked at me, "Tori, if there are any songs you wanna hear then you have my permission to come up to the booth and tell me." "Ok, Ahk. I'm excited to see you spin some records.", I smiled shyly at him.

Ahkmenrah went back upstairs to his exhibit for some reason and Larry followed. I guess they needed to talk about something. My well I knew it was too good to be true. I sighed,"Well, do you guys want to stay for the dance party?" "Tori, I think your boyfriend wants you to stay.", my mom said teasing me a little. "Mom, he's not my boyfriend. I don't think he likes me that much.", I said sadly. " Oh my gosh, Tori! Not this attitude again! He likes you! And even if he didn't you are a beautiful girl both inside and out! Now stop with the low self esteem!", my mom quipped. "You're right. We're here to have fun, and that's what we're going to do!", I sighed and smiled. Even though 'Ahkmenrah' wouldn't tell me his real name, (which was a red flag) I wouldn't get hung up on that. I lived in Kansas, and he lived in New York. Long distance relationships never work out so I had to pull myself together and have some fun tonight.

                                                                         AHKMENRAH'S POV

Larry and I walked upstairs to the balcony, and I got a glimpse of my little dersert flower. She looked sad. Had it been my fault?', the thought echoed in my head. 'No, Ahk, you did what was best for your people. Other people can not know about the tablet or they will steal it and do some experiments on all of the exhibits. Or at least that's what Nicky had said once.', I thought to myself as I walked back to my exhibit with Larry. We stopped at my sarcoughagas when Larry spoke up, "Hey Ahk?" I turned to face Larry. "Does she know?", Larry continued, "That you're...You know..." Larry couldn't finish the sentence so finished it for him, "Dead for thousands and thousands of years?" Larry nodded, "Yeah. That was what I was going to say." "No, she just thinks I work here.", I looked at the ground for a moment then looked back up at Larry," I wasn't planning on telling her, Larry. How could I do that? How could I do that to everyone here and to you? I simply can't." "Well, alright, it's just...you seem....you know...", Larry let the sentence hang in the air. "Quite enchanted and taken by her beauty? Very attracted by her adorable shyness and modesty? Yes, well I am, Larry, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to tell her. We have certain rules, and there are only a couple of people that we can trust. While she very well may seem like someone that we can trust, I shall not betray the trust of my people at a moment's notice for some beautiful girl. What kind of Pharaoh would I be if I had done that?", I told him.

"Yeah, so what are you going to tell her?", Larry looked at me with an unreadable expression. "I guess that it doesn't matter. Either way, any lie that I tell her will break her heart.", I looked at the ground in despair. Larry gave my back a pat, "I'm sorry man. I'll....I'll be downstairs." Larry walked off and I took off the rest of my wrappings and put on my robes and crown. 'This will be hard.', I thought to myself. I walked back downstairs to see my little desert flower laughing at Atilla and his huns. Her family was right beside her laughing along with her. It was a picture that I longed to be in. It was as it should be. My little desert flower looked up at me and smiled. I had said that this was going to be hard, and the weight of that truth was unbearable.
