Komamura Sajin x Reader Fanfiction

Chapter 12

" I believe that you'll take care of this matter." Byakuya spoke in a monotone. Sajin nodded lifting your body off the ground. Multiple members of the women's association were passed out on the floor. Byakuya had finally found the secret door Yachiru had made. When he entered he was surprised to see Rukia,  as well as a number of other female reapers unconscious on the ground with bottles of sake scattered everywhere. You were the only one still semi-conscious, Byakuya had called some captains to come and fetch their drunk subordinates. When Sajin heard about what happened he sprinted over immediately.

 "I apologize for this Kuchiki-san, she's never done something like this before." Byakuya just give a nod, looking down at Rukia's passed out form.

"My own sister betrayed me.."  Byakuya thought. Sajin gave another bow picking you up bridal style as you giggled holding onto his robes. "Sorry Mr.do..ggy-san...I'm taken.." you slurred grinning stupidly. Sajin sighed taking his leave.

~Squad Seven Barracks~

Sajin walked into his room with you in tow. He moved over to the bed placing you down gently as he pulled a sheet over your body. Your eyes were shut now but you were shifting around on the bed, eyebrows knitted. Sajin took a step back bracing his hand on the wall as he let out a pained groan.

"Even though she's asleep.. her scent is still so strong..." Taking another step back he moved to exit the room. He stopped in his tracks when he heard small whimpers coming from the bed. He turned watching tears run down your cheeks. "S-Sajin....please don't..don't go..." your eyes were still shut, but you were crying. Sajin eyes wavered. Clenching his teeth he turned, walking out the door as he slid it close.

"I'm sorry (Y/N), I think it's best we stay apart for a while.."

~The next day~

"Ittai!" you cried massaging the red mark that was being healed on your back. Unohana smiled as she continued. "I'm quite curious as to what went on yesterday, Kuchiki-san had to call me to collect Isane." you avoided her gaze laughing nervous. "I-I guess we got kinda out of hand." you muttered. Unohana nodded. "I'm a bit envious, I would have loved to attend that little party if I wasn't so busy. It's good to let loose sometimes. Especially when you are dealing with problems." The way she said it was almost as if she knew what was going on with you.

You looked down, eyes shaking. "Unohana-taicho.."

The captain gave you her full attention. "Yes."

"Taicho and I...have been having some issues lately." you admitted keeping your eyes firmly planted on the ground. Unohana was intrigued. "And what type of problems might that be?" you shook your head. "I don't really know....he's just avoiding me and I think.." you swallowed the lump in your throat. "M-Maybe he's tired of me a-and he's just too nice to say it..." tears started to build up once again. Both your hands came up to wipe them away was you continued to sob. Unohana's eyes softened sympathetically. She'd finish healing the mark, pulling your robes back onto your shoulder. She moved to the front taking a seat next to you. 

"(Y/N)-san, I've known Komamura for years, and I can tell you with confidence. He isn't the type to love halfheartedly." Upon hearing her words you pulled your hands away slowly.

"R-Really?" you questioned doubtfully. Unohana nodded. "In all honesty, when I had started out as a reaper, I had a slight crush on him." your eyes widened at the information.

"S-Seriously!?!" she gave another nod. "We were both fresh out of the academy. He was always so brave and honorable, I couldn't help but fall for him." she let out a soft giggle making you blush.

"I-I can't believe even Unohana-taicho was..." it was a shock but, you could relate. The same qualities she saw in him is what you fell in love with in the first place.

"Years had passed and even though we were in completely different divisions every chance I had I'd try to visit him. One day I had worked up the courage to finally tell him of my feelings." you moved closer listening eagerly. "What did he say!" you urged. She smiled. "He turned me down, he said that he was flattered, but he couldn't allow  it. He told me the feelings I held for him were merely adoration and it would be selfish of him to take advantage of that." your face dropped at her words. "I...I was basically the same...why did he..say yes to me then..?" you were deeply confused. Unohana took your hands in hers. "At the time, when he had said that I was hurt and angry but I covered it well. I couldn't understand why he would have said something like that...that was until I saw the both of you together." you just stared at her.

"I understood what he meant, there is a large difference between adoration and love. I believe that if it had been you that day, he would have accepted it without a second thought. There is a special feeling that you get, when you're with the one you truly love. Sajin was waiting all along for his love. He was waiting for you (Y/N)." you weren't too sure what to say.

Unohana finally stood giving you a close eyed smile. "I think you should go and talk with him, I have faith that whatever he is struggling with, he wants to share it with you. You need to prove to him that you can handle whatever pain he may be carrying by himself. "

Your fist clenched into the sheets. "She's right! I can't stay here wallowing, I need to ask him up front." you stood with a determined gaze.

"I'll talk to him. Thank you very much Unohana-taicho." you bowed lowly, before standing up straight as you sprinted out the barracks of squad four. Unohana watched your retreating form with pride.

"Thank you...Sajin.."

~Time skip~

You had tracked his reiatsu straight back to squad seven. You grinned realizing he was in his room. Your heart was beating wildly in your chest as you got closer to your destination.

"I'm tired feeling so far away from you Sajin, whatever it is we'll work it out together." you jumped onto a building roof close by skipping from roof to roof hastily. Your movements finally came to a halt when you were standing right outside his door.

"Here goes nothing."
