4. The Ferris Wheel
There is ALWAYS a Ferris wheel scene. (Okay, no, not always, but you get my point.)
Can't you be a little more creative, people? Are you just looking for an excuse to make your two main characters alone and holding hands? Because to be completely truthful, Ferris wheels do not possess magical abilities to make its riders spontaneously hold hands at the very top, and not every girl needs to hold onto a guy's hand in order to get through a Ferris wheel ride (or the other way around).
Also, how is it that the main characters' compartment always always always stops at the very top?? That doesn't always happen, unless there are Ferris wheels that give each compartment a chance to stop at the top, but if there are I doubt that lasts for more than a few seconds.
Some stories have amazing Ferris wheel scenes, but most just seem redundant and unrealistic to me. Let your creative juices flow, guys. And if I'm being honest, there are other rides that are wayyyy more exciting than the Ferris wheel. Canada's Wonderland doesn't even have a Ferris wheel.
