I sat in my studio slowly bobbing my head to the song that was playing low in the background. It has been packed for the last couple weeks following the opening of the new tattoo shop opening in downtown Atlanta.

The dark walls were contrasted by the colorful abstract art of rapper sat on top of the walls. I placed the needle into the red ink before going back to Nubian queen tattoo I was in the middle of.

I took my bottom in between my teeth as my eyes squinted as I added coloring to be tattoo. I kept an intense glare on the tattoo, as I felt her continue to wince as I moved the needle. I contemplated with myself whether I should stop or keep going.

"Shhh." The younger looking girl jumped causing me to pull the needle back and furrow my eyebrows at her.

"You good?" She shook her head no before lifting up from her lying position.

"It hurt." She fully got up to where she was facing me. She used her right forearm to cover her titties. She bent closer to my face, causing a scowl to immediately form on my face. "Do you do specials?"

"What kinda specials?" She leaned over until her mouth was near.

"Happy endings." I looked at her astonished, blinking my eyes in confusion. "Can you suck on my titties." I pushed the rolling chair back before sitting the needle down, slipping of my gloves.

"I'm sorry baby girl but this ain't that type of establishment." I laughed lowly as I began to pick up my station.

"What you mean this ain't that type of establishment." She remover her forearm as she slipped on her pink tube top.

"Exactly what I said-I don't know what type of tattoo shop you've been too but you need to return there." I grabbed the disinfecting wipes out of the cabinet popping the top open.

"Niggas really don't want money anymore...pathetic." I scoffed as I wiped down the table.

"I want money don't get me wrong-but I ain't doing none of that shit for a bitch that belongs to the streets." I threw the wipes away before placing the container back in the cabinet. I walked over to the door before opening it signaling her that it was her time to go.

"You bullshit." She jerked her head back before grabbing her things and walking towards the door.

"Make sure you pay for wasting my time love." I stood in the door frame as I watched her walk toward the reception desk watching as she paid the receptionist her total.

I closed the door before walking over to the black leather couch falling back onto it. My hand felt like it was cramping up from doing tattoos since 6:30 this morning. I looked down at my apple watching seeing that it was 7:00 p.m way past time that I was supposed to be Karter up.

"Shit." I stood to my feet walking over to the draws attached to the counter. I used my fingerprint to open the draw, grabbing my car keys, phone, and AirPods.

I immediately opened my phone clicking the call icon scrolling to my mother's number.

"Hello Zander!" I immediately heard the sarcasticness in her voice causing me to slightly cringe.

"Hey mama-how was your day today?" I turned everything off in my office, turning the light of and closing the door.

"It was great actually-the center is doing great and have been expanding. I'm just glad I could finally put my degree to use again."

"Hold on mama." I walked over to the receptionist desk where Jada sat scrolling on the computer.

"Wassup Zander." She moved her locs from her face as she looked up at me.
