"Here we come fat camp" I mumbled underneath my breath. "No more snacking, no more Mars bars and no more fast food. More exercise, more healthy meals and more weight loss."

Weight: 260 pounds. Height: 5"7'.

Weight to achieve within first week: 250 pounds.

As we drove through the polished gates of what would be my home for the next seven weeks, I sighed, praying that when at last I exited I would be looking like a goddess (not particularly likely but I can dream). Camp Lemmony Snicket - make me a goddess. As we grew closer to the drop off I set myself some rules: I would not tempt myself into giving in, no matter how much my body wanted me to. I would not over eat, just because it was I front of me. I would eat a balanced diet and learn to enjoy healthy foods. I would exercise daily and not let my body decide for me. I was in control and my body needs to know who's boss.

Arriving at the drop off spot, I stared at the building in front of me. The low windows that gleamed and sparkled, still slightly wet from the cleaners who's van we saw a couple of miles back down the driveway. The lawns freshly mown and looking almost picturesque. The house was a beautiful three story red brick with white window shutters that made it look almost fairy tale like. It was gorgeous.

Stepping out of the car I gazed at the beauty of this place. The gravel driveway crunching beneath my heavy feet and the coached came rushing up to greet me. This was it. My time here starts now.

"Hello, welcome to Camp Lemony Snicket. If you would like to take your bags into the house and there is a timetable as to where you will be staying. The first task is to carry all your bags to your room and unpack with no help from family, friends or instructors. Off you go."

I huffed. Getting to work. I mean I've only just arrived! They can't expect me to start as soon as I get here!

Deciding to go and see where my room was first so that I didn't have to lug around all my bags for any more time than necessary.

Looking at the chart, I realised that there were a lot more girls in this camp than I had been expecting. There were at least 200 of us overweight girls who had dreams of being beautiful. Not just that but the rooms were communal. Well as long as the beds aren't bunk beds then I'm fine. Really not my thing, I would be sharing with at least four other girls. After about a minute of looking for my name, I spotted it on the top floor with only one other room up there that was being used, meaning if need be I could sneak into another room to sleep. Thank God.

Sighing I slowly jogged back to the car to fetch my bags, grabbing the heavier one first, then I'd come back for the other and my rucksack. Reaching the bottom of the staircase I huffed and stepped up a couple and then dragged my bag up behind me. About half way up, a crowd of girls came rushing down the stairs, knocking my suitcase which then tumbled down to the bottom of the stairs, back to square one.

One of the girls looked back up at me and sneered at me. Looking smug that she had knocked my bag down. Then her and her posse left.

All except one, who looked at me apologetically and then whispered "Here let me help you," even though we weren't allowed help I wasn't going to pass up the chance of halving the weight of my bags.

Together we struggled up the staircase and then the next one, both of us huffing at the top. I then nodded to the door on the right and she nodded, too tired to say anything and lifting up the bag once again we dragged it into the room.

I looked up and realised that we were in fact on bunk beds. Great. Just my luck. I looked around the room and then realised that the girl was still there.

"Thank you so much for helping, I really don't think I could have done it without you!" I said gratefully.

"It's fine, I'm glad to help. What's your name?" she asked.

"I'm April James, and you?"

"Jess Lawdon, I'm in the dorm opposite you, so if you need anything don't hesitate to ask." She said helpfully then briskly left the room.

"You too and thanks again!" I called after her.

I didn't quite catch her reply before I heard a door closing nearby. Well she was nice, I hope my room mates are like that, easy to talk to and friendly unlike that girl who shoved my bag.

I groaned as I remembered that I still had another bag to bring up. Trudging down the stairs again, I passed a sweet looking and blond, almost angel like girl her chubby cheeks and white clothes. "Bad luck to cross on the stairs, I'll go back down." She smiled at me. Smiling back I followed her down until we reached the bottom. "Hi, I'm Jenny."

"April."

"Well it's lovely to meet you, April!" then she hugged me tightly. A little shocked by this sudden movement, I just stood there awkwardly patting her back. Then she scurried back upstairs. Well she was a little weird, yet nice. I'm guessing she is very expressive of her emotions and looked very innocent.

Grabbing my other bag and rucksack, which was not nearly as heavy, almost like it was filled with air. I think I packed everything light in this bag. That was a bit stupid.

Reaching my room with ease I walked in managing to hold my bag in one hand and then heard a little gasp.

"April!"
