Just as expected, as the regiment closed in on the district of Shiganshina, the herds of titans got thicker, more abnormals showed, killing handfuls of people. Levi was managing his own, as was the rest of his squad, but they never saw her again, and Levi growled in anger as another Titan landed right next to him, it was another abnormal.

"Fuck you!" Levi shouted, before taking off around its neck, slicing the nape perfectly, and the titan fell, spewing out steam that made it feel like Levi's skin was boiling.

"Captain Levi! Another abnormal!" Eren shouted, but Levi couldn't see due to the steam, "Captain Levi!"

"I can't see the damn thing! Where is it?!"

"Its-!"

"Back off!" Suddenly two blades along with two arms wrapped around Levi, the blades crossed effectively over his eyes.

"Who are you?! Let me go!" Levi attempted to move, but her grip tightened, and the blades pressed closer to his face, "Eren! Mikasa!"

"I said! BACK OFF!" The girl shouted loudly, and the titan that he hadn't heard or seen was suddenly in front of them, blocking the light, "Yeah I'm talking to you ugly, get the hell out of here." The girl spoke with loud confidence, and the titan just grinned widely, as she released Levi, kicking him in the back forcing him down.

"Shit!" Levi shouted, when he got up and zipped around the titan, then two blades, held very similarly to his way of holding them, sliced through the nape, cutting an 'X' into it. The Titan fell, and then she was gone, leaving Levi to stand there until Mikasa found him.

"Captain Levi?" She asked curiously, seeing blood all over his uniform.

"I need to clean my uniform." Levi groaned, and looked at Eren who looked at him worriedly, "It's not my blood." The blood wasn't disappearing, and so, he knew it was actual blood from another human. The only other person he's been around was that girl, was she bleeding? Did she get bitten?

"Who was shouting? Did she think she could easily tell a titan to back off and they'll listen?" Eren said in annoyance as if the girl who shouted was a complete amateur and Mikasa walked over to the captain, examining the blood.

"She was injured, badly." Mikasa pulled out a cloth from her pocket and started to try to wipe off some of the blood, "Which meant she tried loud noises to scare away the titan."

"She covered my eyes." Levi huffed but he relaxed knowing his uniform was getting cleaned off, and Mikasa huffed.

"It's not like you're a recruit, and I doubt with her connections with the scouts she would mistake you as one." Mikasa pondered it and then Armin spoke up.

"I think I may know why a lot of the times we've fought titans they've had to look us in the eyes before eating us, maybe it was just their way of scaring us further, but I believe... that maybe they need to see our eyes to know we're humans."

"So you're saying that when she covered the Captain's eyes, the titan no longer saw him?"

"Maybe, it's just a theory." Armin speculated as he pulled Levi's horse over to him, and Levi pondered this theory. The titan didn't look at him when he went to attack as others do, it was like he wasn't interested in eating him.

"Let's get out of here and regroup with the others." Levi made his horse take off towards the way they were supposed to go, and the others followed hastily, except for one person. Armin looked at the blood trail for a moment, the drops of blood getting bigger.

"Listen! I don't know your name! But if you're hurt I'll take you with me! I won't let anyone hurt you, please... You can't survive with losing so much blood!" Armin shouted, trying to reason with her, knowing she was behind a tree he was looking at, and she was, looking at the ground in disbelief.
