The stupid state you left me in
waiting at the door;
you didn't show up
and I'm crying on the floor
How could I ever think
that you'd come back for me;
every time I heard a footstep
my heart, it fills with glee
But it will never be you
approaching from outside;
so I'll sit here
butt-hurt and teary-eyed
As I wait with my last hope
I know the truth;
you never loved me
and I've wasted my youth.
