Yoonkook- The Dark

Jungkook wasn't exactly fond of the dark he couldn't understand how people could sleep in the dark either. To Jungkook being in the darkness was the equivalent of being suffocated, he couldn't breathe he hated that feeling of constant need for air almost as if the darkness would drown him every time he enters it. So Jungkook would do everything he could to avoid being in the dark, to avoid the suffocation, to avoid his past. The memories that flashed through his mind were to much to bare to many bad memories in the dark caused this phobia of his to form. He wishes he could fix it, make it go away but he can't he's tried and it normally ends up making things worse.

It's currently 5 in the evening and Jungkook had just come back from work just in time before it started to get dark. He enters his apartment and takes of his shoes setting them by the door then does the same with his coat. Upon entering the living room he sees his roommate Yoongi fast asleep on the couch. Thinking his Hyung had a long day at the studio he decides it's best to leave him be but not before he covers him with a blanket. He stares for awhile at Yoongi admiring his facial features thinking how pretty his Hyung is. You see Jungkook and Yoongi have been friends for quite sometime 5 years to be exact and Jungkook may perhaps have a major crush on the older male but he won't tell him, no he couldn't he doesn't want to ruin their friendship and he can't handle the thought of rejection. He doesn't think his Hyung would like to be with a whiny child like himself, being afraid of the dark and all.

     His thoughts get interrupted by his Hyung's eyes slowly opening. This causes Jungkook to become flustered and try to quickly get off the floor hitting his knee on the coffee table in the process. Resulting in him now laying on the carpet holding his knee which is now in pain. ' Thank you coffee table for trying to kill me ' Jungkook's thought laced with sarcasm.

     "Woah there Jungkook, you okay?" Yoongi asks chuckling slightly because he thinks that the younger is just to cute being flustered and all.
      "O-oh yeah I'm fine Hyung!" Jungkook says quickly getting up.
     "So how was work Hyung?" The young male questions " Oh it was alright I guess Namjoon wouldn't shut up about his new pet crab tho" Yoongi says rubbing his temples.
     "Well I'm glad Namjoon's happy" Jungkook giggles at his Hyung's reaction.
     "So.... dinner?" Jungkook asks
     "Alright sounds good, what did you plan on making?" The other male says now walking to the kitchen with Jungkook
     "Umm I was thinking.... beef stew?" Kook replies
     " Sounds great! Need any help?" Yoongi asks
     "Actually yes I do... would you mind going to the store and getting some more beef I don't think we have enough for two portions" Jungkook says hoping  the older male isn't too upset having to leave the house again.
     "I don't mind at all Kook" Yoongi states showing his gummy smile then going to put his jacket on
"I'll be back soon Kook!" The male shouts before he leaves
"Alright then let's get (it) started!" Jungkook exclaims then starts on the stew

After about 10 minuets of Yoongi's absence Jungkook still continues to get the ingredients ready to cook for when his Hyung gets back from the store when...... the power goes out. Jungkook screams immediately putting down the food that was just in his hands and trying desperately to find one of the candles or flashlights he's hidden around the house in case of things like this happening. But just to his luck he can't seem to locate where he's put them, his mind to clouded with fear and that suffocating feeling that is slowly creeping its way to Jungkook.
He can feel the tears running down his cheeks and he starts to rock himself back and forth trying his best to calm down but it's not working he can't clam down the only thing on his mind right now is those horrific memories from his past flashing throughout the darkness.

~~ Flashback~~

'Mommy please! I'm sorry I'm sorry!' Jungkook pleas to his mother who is now carrying the 6 year old down to the basement.
' No this is your punishment Jungkook this is how you will learn not to make those mistakes again' his mother paid no mind to his screams and with a emotionless expression proceeds to toss him in the dark basement.
     ' Now think about what you've done' she slams the door locking it from the outside. All little Jungkook did was forget to put his plate in the sink.
