The Golden Maknae

Disaster at Dinner

I had never heard of the restaurant but it was apparently very popular. There was a line but we evidently had a reservation and were seated immediately. 

The waiter came up and introduced himself.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Chin, I am Eunji and I will be serving you tonight, can I get you started with drinks?"

"Bring us some Cheongju please." No surprise here, it was the only alcohol I had ever seen him drink. Only problem was I was barely of age and never had occasion to drink so I was surprised he was ordering it for me. 

When they brought it to us I took mine and sipped it.  It tasted pretty good so I drank a little bit more. 

Apparently drinking alcohol is not wise on an empty stomach. 

I started feeling a little dizzy but I relaxed and took another drink because for the first time in my life I felt like a woman. I was dressed up, and felt pretty. I was in public. It was awesome. 

Bo ordered for me and kept up some small talk and I tried to look like I was listening to him. I plastered a smile on my face and nodded a lot. 

Our food came and I started eating. It was delicious! I don't have any idea what it was but it was amazing! 

"Wow! Bo! This food is so good!" 

"Try to act like this isn't the first time you have ever been out of the loony bin please."

I looked at him and saw he was seething. I wasn't sure what had happened but at some point apparently his attitude had changed. 

"May I go to the ladies room?" I needed a moment to compose myself, to think for a moment and remember who I was. 

"Hurry up." he replied shortly.

I excused myself and got up, walked to the bathroom I had seen when we came in.  All of the sudden a young man bumped into me. 

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you!" I was mortified. 

"Totally my fault! I was in such a hurry for no reason, but now I am struck by your beauty! May I ask your name, I want to remember this moment for all of eternity."

I blushed fiercely but replied "Rose"

"A beautiful name for a beautiful woman, my name is Sam."

"Hello Sam, it is nice to meet you but I must say goodbye now!" I ran off into the safety of the bathroom and tried to stop what felt like a panic attack. There is no way Bo didn't see that. He was facing the restroom. 

I was probably five whole minutes and when I came out my fears were confirmed. Bo was waiting for me with our leftovers and a scowl on his face. He took my arm and led me to the car and we went home. 

He said not one word until the door closed to the apartment. 

"Did you think you could get away with that? Do you think I am a fool?" He kicked me in the back and knocked me to the ground. 

"I don't know what you are talking about!" I cried. My back really hurt and my knee was bleeding. Good thing my dress was long. 

"You were flirting with that man and then devised a plan to meet him! How dare you shame me like that!" his face was bright red. 

"If the party wasn't in 2 days...! You amaze me! You wonder why I never take you anywhere?"

"I never saw that man before we bumped into each other! I don't know what you are talking about! I ..."  he interrupted me.

"You think I didn't see him staring at you while we were eating?! Go to your room. I can't look at you right now." 

I knew there was nothing I could say to change his perception so I just did as he said, and went to my room.
