Calum's POV
"Hey Lou." I say quietly and walk into the hospital room, her hospital room.
"Hey mate... I'm gonna get some coffee, want some?" I know Louis doesn't actually drink coffee so I just shake my head. I'm glad he's leaving me alone to talk to her.
"Bee?" I whisper, no response. "Bee, I want you to know... That you can let go. If you don't want to do this, let go. No one will blame you, no one will hate you." I take a deep breath before continuing. "I will always love you no matter what. We all will. I-" A tear slips down my cheek and I wipe it away before continuing. "I understand if you don't want to do this anymore. I really do. Just... just know that I want you to stay, I want you to live..." I get up and walk out. No matter what happens at least I can say I told her how I feel.
Louis' POV
It's been three weeks since we found Braeden in her room. Three weeks full of tears and yelling.
At the four week mark the doctors have advised us we should turn off the machines but I told them I would pay any money to keep them on.
Maybe I'm selfish for trying to keep her alive. I don't really care. I need her and she deserves a life.
Luke's in the waiting room - per usual. He hasn't missed a single day. Not that I have either but still.
Calum doesn't come much anymore and even when he does I've started to notice he doesn't actually look at Braeden's body, he just stares blankly at the wall.
It's six o'clock, I usually go home around now because Eleanor doesn't like eating alone. I walk to the waiting room to check on Luke. Sure enough he's sitting there staring at the wall.
"I'm gonna go, need a ride?" I ask quietly because I'm scared talking too loud might break him.
He shakes his head slowly. "I'm good." His voice is low and broken.
I take a seat next to him and stare at the wall. "You... You need to realise that she might not wake up, Luke. I know you have this feeling or whatever but she might not." He needs to understand she might never wake up and we will have to live without her...
"She's going to wake up." He tells me this everyday.
"Luke... Please just don't go into denial." I say and stand. The poor boy, what if she really doesn't wake up.
I get to the doorway when I see the doctor running towards me in a frantic state. Oh god, she is dead.
"She's waking up!" He says in a hushed yell and before my brain can even process, Luke's on his feet and halfway to Braeden's room.
When I get to the room, I see two nurses taking the tubes out of Braeden's mouth and I see tears in her eyes.
"Ow." She whines when the tubes are removed. She holds her head and tears start to fall.
"Braeden?" Luke gasps and she stares up at him before staring at her hands and flipping them over like she has only just developed them.
"Oh my god... Why?" She screams and Luke steps back as if she's pushed him. "I wanted to die!" She belts and my world crashes.
"Braeden I-" I try to calm her down but it does the opposite.
"No!" She screams and her breathing starts to quicken. "I... wanted... to... die." She says between reaches for air.
The nurse now has a needle and is injecting a liquid into one of the tubes going into Braedens skin.
"What did you do?" Luke asks and I can see Braeden slowly going unconscious.
"She was having a panic attack, I needed to." The nurse says and pulls the blanket over a now unconscious Braeden.
"Oh my god. She's awake." I breathe out.
"She's alive." Luke whispers and a tear slips down his rosy red cheeks.
"I have to call mum. When will she wake up?" I ask the young nurse.
"Not too long it was only a mild sedative." She tells us and I nod. I pull out my phone and Luke stays standing there, stunned.
"Mate, it'll be okay. She's okay." I tell him and pat his shoulder.
"You heard what she said." His voice is below a whisper but it's still enough to break my heart.
"She's going to be okay. I promise." He nods slowly and I continue to call my mum.
Calum's POV
We all just got the call that Braeden woke up. Ashton already left but I don't know if I should go. Luke told me she had a break down almost the second she woke up. I know her seeing me won't help anything.
I haven't seen Michael since the day we found her. Besides Ash nobody has. I hate him, I really do... but I'm still worried.
I walk to his door and knock three times, that's what Ash does. He opens the door after about thirty seconds.
As soon as he sees me his angry, sullen face lightens. "Cal?"
"She woke up." I whisper. All the anger seems to have drained from body.
"What? Really?" He seems happy for a second but seems to think about something and he goes back to normal.
"A few minutes ago... She already had a panic attack." His face goes white and for the first time in four weeks I actually believe he cares about Braeden.
