Krei:

"You don't have to do this you know." I said as I prepared to board my ship, my gaze landed on my sworn brothers who had their son Al'rik with them.

The Twin Kindred Strikes Fast and Warring Soul remained my steadfast brothers when I first met them as kids and after I recovered from a sickness that had me comatose. These two were a little special because unlike most Twin Kindred; they had dark skin and reverse coloring which meant that they were "blessed" by one of their Twin Gods, The Dark Moon God Dakir. A very special anomaly that happens once every hundred years or so.

As warriors, they were very formidable as a unit but now that they have a family and are living peacefully; It would be callous of me to make them leave Samira and their children just for me.

"The Space Station Council Leaders got the approval from the High Kindred Council for you for a retrieve and rescue mission. Your reasoning of Ms. Cortez being your intended bride has convinced them. But tell us Krei, the moment she was taken. Did you remember what happened after?" Warring asked me.

Just the thought of her being taken away made me clench my fist, The need to find her...to crush those aliens who took her from me, was still in my blood.

I remembered.

I went into a stage called "rage".

It is a unique state a Kindred warrior goes into when his bride was threatened and it was a scary thing for enemies whenever a warrior goes into a rage. They would stop at nothing to make sure their bride was safe.

The twins told me that I killed the aliens that were left to distract us and was still on a rampage before it took 10 Kindred warriors, including them to knock me out.

For now, I was calm since the priestess of the Sacred Grove cooled my rage but now, my skin itches and my blood continues to boil slowly...

By my calculations, the ship that took my bride was a Skeldoram type bounty cruiser; a special ship fashioned for the Skeldo Hunter Guild.

All hunters usually report to their bounty catches to their nearest outpost so I have a good idea where that is.

Black Delta, a small asteroid colony that thrives on intergalactic slave trades, hunter guilds and several illegal enterprises you can think of.

"You can relax Krei for me and Warring are not thinking of coming with you." Strike's deep voice made me snapped out of my inner thoughts. " But that attack exhausted Samira and was under strict orders to rest so we have to take care of Soleen and Luna."

At the mention of their twin girls and their wife, I nodded. Guilt prickled my skin at my inability to protect Andi once more.

"It is fine. I am so sorry your renewal of vows ceremony was ruined. " I told them and they smiled at me.

"Well, we do want a favor from you since you want to make amends." Strike looked at Al and cocked his head.

The young man looked at me, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes as I took the time to notice that the twins had a Marudian Blade and a satchel in their hands.

"You two planned this didn't you?" I frowned at them.

"We are sworn brothers, as much as we worry for you; at least let our son help you in your search for Ms. Cortez. You taught him well as an instructor so we are sure that he will be helpful." Strike ruffled the boy's black shaggy hair proudly.

In the end, I agreed to protect the boy and make sure he comes home safe while young Al'rik promises to follow all my orders in turn.

"Young one, the bounty hunters we will face are not like the ones you have faced before. They will kill you if you are not strong enough so stay alert and don't hesitate to run to safety if needed." I told him as he boards the ship with me and took the seat next to me as we strapped in and was getting ready to take off.
