Chapter 14: Crystal Clear

Andi:

I have been wanting to ask him this ever since we touched each other.

And as he told me his story of how he had lost his memory our time together and how he got it back recently. It made me wonder if this was fate.

I had unknowingly come to the Space Station for Samira's renewal vows, only to find the one male I have been dreaming off since I could even think of boys.

How odd and fickle fate can be.

And yet, as much as my intelligence scoffs at such talk of irrationality; a part of me knows that he holds the key to my past.

"So your father spilled out the truth after I was taken by those Skeldoram bastards. This is why you came to get me then?"

He shook his head.

"I was already on my way to you when I called my Father; learning the truth of why I cannot seem to remember you from his lips were painful. Any Kindred would be ashamed that he had forgotten the female gifted to him by the Goddess. It was akin to spitting on her efforts." he looked thoroughly ashamed. "For that, I have no excuse."

Somehow I was secretly elated that he came for me before learning that we were lovers once upon a time.

It shows that he may have some feelings for me too.

"Krei, Are you telling me all this because you intend to finish what you started?" I boldly laid out the question I want answered. "Do you intend to make me your bride?"

The Blood Kindred's eyes gleamed with intense emotion and I found myself blushing as he nodded.

"Been looking for you for a long time. Even before I got my memories back but I always felt a dull throb inside me whenever I tried to imagine a female bride. I tried to call a mate 3 times and yet the Goddess never answered." He whispered softly as he scooted nearer to me. "Now I know why."

Crap.

I am not a sappy girl but the way he was staring at me right now...the longing and desire mixed with need and...affection.

Nope, he is not faking this.

"Krei...." His name on my lips sounded right and I heard him purr at that. "I-I have been having flashes of my past too. But I am not the young girl you used to know. I have changed a great deal and I just do not want you to think I am still the same little princess back in Norvadia..."

I stared at him this time and he merely looked at me patiently as if prompting me to continue.

"I am one of Earth's most influential female figures. The heiress of a multibillion dollar company that produces robots. A woman who has gone through many pitches and meetings dominated by male run companies and I am not intimidated at all." I explained. "The princess you knew was still innocent and a dreamer who tinkers with her creations. She gave you a taste of your first time in the sheets and has always been dependent on you as her knight. I....I am afraid I am not the woman you loved. I am not Princess Andromeda of the House Norvak anymore. I am Vice CEO Andromeda Cortez now."

He stood up and I shivered when he towered over me. But he did not walk away in a huff like most guys whenever I stated who I am.

He then pulled me up gently and hugged me, his face nuzzling my hair and inhaling me deeply before shuddering.

"I know. We may have only been together onboard the Volantis a short while but....I can tell that you are no longer the small princess I once knew." He said as he looked down at me with gleaming blue eyes. " So allow me to know the current you. I want to learn who Andromeda Cortez is..."
