The table was filled with food, people, wine and laughter.
The message had been received from Zalla when Ignis had walked in on Enas and I way back in my chambers.

She had said 'when the moon is high, light shines, when the moon is gone, so will be he'.

Ignis had narrowed it down to a famous Salo quote during the war meeting with the other generals and had said that it was a quote well before their times. It meant you had one more night to prepare before we rain on you like holy fire.

So tonight, the entire army fed in the great halls.
Salo didn't make an appearance and I couldn't help but to be a little ticked off. I mean I saved his life after all, I know my powers probably didn't heal him all that well but I still saved him. A thank you would be nice.

As everyone dug into their plates of pork, salads, cranberry sauce and deserts piled high with grapes I stood alone, outside against the balcony.
Enas had started to enjoy himself with Ignis, having a few more drinks than usual. More drinks than I've ever witnessed.

I was glad he and I spoke, I had been distraught after the whole Zalla incident and I knew that her power was something to be reckoned with but I was just glad.

Enas wasn't the most typical person. He was sweet as he was cruel, he was as kind as he was hurtful. All of his extremely good positives came with many painful opposites.

I understood why Salo didn't want him to be king But why lie to him? Give him false hope and then just rip it from underneath him?

Sure Enas was stubborn and jealous and he didn't want Enas to have the power go to his head but he can't help that he's had to struggle for attention since day one.
All Salo did was create a false hope which ended up destroying Enas.

During all of his wars, even before he came to London to meet me, he had destroyed, killed, manipulated, pissed on everyone's trust.
He tried to kill the king, his brother and he accidentally killed his mother.

His anger towards his father was un-parallel. Enas was misguided through his anger Malika being his only anchor. It saddens me to think Enas had been through so much.

Sure, I might sound whipped, maybe a little too forgiving but it's the light that is within me that allows me to see the brightness at the end of the tunnel.
E has turned around so much since I met him.

Hell, I've changed since I've met him.
I went from being a stripper and an assistant in London with my ex fiancé running off with my younger sister and my mother supporting them and basically telling me to buzz off.
To an actual worshiped warrior in a whole new land.

Earth was a black hole for me, just as Salo was a black hole for Enas.

We are growing, we are learning, we are beings of the universe and it doesn't matter what Zalla throws at us tomorrow, I know I'll make it through, I know Enas and Ignis will make it through.
It's in our nature to adapt and survive.

We learn, we love, we live, we die.

"My dear, you shouldn't be out here all alone. There could be a secret assassin coming up behind you" I turn so my upper back is pressed against the balcony and smirk.

"And yet I'm being subdued by the god of magic. Had enough to drink dear?" I tease when I notice his wobble.

"Nothing I can't handle. It's just been a while since I've had a drink." He walls over to me, placing himself so his arms are leaning on the balcony right next to my chest.

He puts his head down and it goes between my breasts, wearing a chest plate or not, when the guy you are in love with puts his head between your chest, your cheeks will flush.

"Uhh, E? Shall we go home instead?" I ask as he stands back up.

"I love that nickname. It's so bizarre and adorable" he says in a slurred tone.
On his way to standing properly he grabs me, pulling me to him before his arms go around my waist, playing with my hips.

"I'd love to go home and take that silly armour off" I blush at his... choice of words.

"Nope. There is a possible world ending war tomorrow. You don't get to have any sexy time."
He ignores me as his hands go down my sides, feeling my thighs.

"I have had a stressful day my dear, potential dead father, new war, threatening you by accident but.. on purpose accident"
I laugh at his slurred words.

"Let's just get you home okay?" He nods as his hands firmly grip my ass, pushing me forward so I can feel not so little Enas.
I make a meep noise and look at him in lust and confusion.

"I love being able to be free of the castle, no neck bomb exploding. It's a nice feeling" he says moving his head so he could get closer to my neck.

He starts to trail kisses from my ear to my collarbone.
My heart was pounding at the sudden intimacy.

"How about we go home and you can finish what you started?" I suggest as he sucks on one spot on my neck which made me moan in pleasure.

"I'd love to but there is a war tomorrow. Couldn't have sexy time before a war now could we Carla?"
I growl as he pulls away, smirking at me and I realise something very quickly.

My eyes widen in shock as I shove him off me. He laughs at me as I fold my arms, holding back a smile of my own.

"Oh my dear, you're adorable. I'm not drunk. I have the highest tolerance to alcohol in all of Yaldvir"

"You jerk" I say smiling.

He doesn't say anything as he stands next to me, leaning against the balcony.
I gaze at him before realising something.

"You're still.. I thought that was an illusion" I say pointing out a very obvious infliction.

"Nope. It's as real as they come" I blush furiously and look up at the sky.

"So technically home is for the sexy time right?" He said realising I wasn't gonna say a word about the elephant in the room.

"Yes." I say looking down at him again. My eyes drift down his body and I look back up at his smirking lips.

"So.. if I was to.." he leans over me, hoping to catch a kiss from me but I move right on time, causing him to kiss my cheek instead.

"No. No balcony sex. Everyone can see us" I say as I realise what he is getting at.
Instead of being disappointed he simply grabs my arm and yanks me back into the pub.

Everyone was laughing and dancing like fools, all still in their armour as Enas and I slip passed them.

He walks us up some old staircase and shows me where we are.
"What is this place?"

"The attic of the pub. Used to be my runaway room when I was merely ten." He explained as I touched the old dusty mattress.

"So you want to have sex on a dirty old mattress?" I ask as I move back to him, his arms go around my waist and very suddenly his lips connect with mine.

We moved backwards into a wall and I hitched my leg up.

All of this whilst a war threatens to destroy my new home and all of our companions dance and drink below us.
