Going to the club is a full on event. You need to choose the right clothes, do your hair as well as your makeup. We also have to pre-party because the drinks at the club are way too expensive. Unless you are rich, you do not have that kind of money to spend on shots. Unless of course, you get a guy to buy them for you.
I walk into my room and flop onto my white covered bed. I love my room. It's simple. There is a wooden bed frame with a bunch of panels stacked on each other with the white bedsheets. In the corner of the room, there is a wooden desk with a bunch of pictures of my family and friend on top.
I don't want to get up but, I know that I need to have some fun as this summer has been pretty tense with work. I force myself to get up and walk over to my closet. I take a look at all my clothes and notice that most of my clothing consist of sweaters and tights. I can't help it. They are so comfortable and it does not take much thought in assembling an outfit. You just simply put on a sweater and go.
Shit! What am I going to wear? I take a look in the mirror and decide that I am going to start on my makeup. I don't put on much as I'm not the best at applying makeup. I grab some mascara and coat my eyelashes. I then look to the mirror to see my straight, silky, mid-length hair. I could curl it but, the work that needs to be put into that does not seem worth it. I decide to keep my hair as it as. My almond shaped hazel eyes are staring back at me. People always tend to comment on them. I put some moisturizer on and I am finally about ready to go other than the fact that I need to put some clothes on. I look in my closet and decide on a jean skirt with a black tube top. It shows a little bit of my stomach but, not too much that it makes me uncomfortable.
"That looks really cute." Venus comments. She is wearing a black jumpsuit with a deep v-shaped neckline. Her pink hair is straightened and she has the perfect cat eye makeup.
"Thanks! I just feel like it's missing something."
"Well, I was going to wear these glasses but you can have them. I think they would look really cute on you." She hands over these 80s inspired glasses with golden frames.
"Wow, this is the first gift you have ever given me." I chuckle.
"Hey! Don't push it, I might take it back." She jokes back.
"What are you guys doing?" Cara and Ang appear in the door frame.
"We are getting ready to party!" Venus responds.
We all head to the main dining table.
"I will get the drinks." I say all too excitedly. I look in the liquor cabinet and find my favourite wine, some coolers and a big bottle of vodka. I grab them all.
"So it's going to be one of those nights?" Angelica says mockingly.
"Yes and you my friend are going to be drunk like the rest of us." I say smiling. Angelica tends to be the mom of the group. She always wants to make sure that we are all safe and that nothing bad happens to us. But I feel sometimes that she needs to have fun too and let loose. I really want her to party tonight, we all need this. I grab a peach cooler and begin to pour her a glass.
"That's enough!" Angelica says while covering up her cup.
"NO! I think you need more, move your hand!" Venus says while drinking a little a bit her cooler. I grab my own glass and begin drinking.
"Lets play a game, lets see who can finish their drink first." I suggest. I can feel the buzz starting to kick in but I know it's not enough. I am definitely not a light weight but I cannot say the same thing for Venus. She is already giggling and wobbling.
"That is not a game Denise." Cara says.
"I agree with Cara." Angelica adds all to quickly.
"Umm... no! We are all going to play and it's going to be fun. Come on! It's the weekend and we are too young to not have some fun." I say a little to passionately.
