"you wanted to see me?"I asked,tilting my head up so my eyes met his under the shady backyard lighting

"hmph,"

"what is it?Is something wrong?"I continued,my voice got raspier

"why do you have to be so negative?"he chuckled

"nothing,it's just that,you wouldnt have called me if you needed to tell me something important,"I sighed

"so,you and Allison huh?,"I felt like choking on my own words.

I cant believe my avoid-awkwardness-during-converstions syndrome had led me talking about even a much more awkward matter

"its complicated,"he sighed,tilting his head up

"oh,"I mumbled

I could see a smirk at his face from the corner of my eyes

"what is it,why are you smirking?"I chortled

"nothing,its just,Allison keeps on thinking I like her and like,I might crush her hopes if I just tell her that I dont have any feeling for her anymore,"

"But why are you smirking?"I ejaculated

"the fact that you're interested to know...of whats going on between me and Allison...,"

He look towards me in the eyes

"makes it interesting for me to know what you think of me,"he uttered softly

I could feel my cheeks heating up that I could just ,I dont know -scream I guess

"not everything is about you Haynes,"I shook off the intensity just as swiftly

"well,if you say so,"he snickered

"is that why you called me?just to experiment with my curiosity?,"I rolled my eyes away from him

"you really do have a problem with me,dont you?what is it?"he raised his other brow,examining me intently

"No,I dont have a problem with you,"I sighed,shaking my head

"are you jealous?"

I could feel my gut at my throat,

"hell no,"I laughed

"well,we better go inside,you girlfriend might go ballistic if she sees you with me-OR any girl for that matter,"I continued

"no,lets just not go inside right now,cant you just enjoy the night sky for a little longer?"He hummed

"a little longer just might be a little too much,I'm going in,"I sighed heavily and left

"hold on,dont you want to know why I called you?"

I could hear him from behind me and I could tell that he had a crooked smirk plastered on his face

"oh man!"I shrugged

I turned my back to face him and I let out a heavy sigh

"fine."

"oh my god,why'd you do that?"I snorted out a loud laugh

"She deserved it you know,"he laughed

"Allison is a lot of things you dont know her about,"he shook his head laughing

"why are telling me all this?"my curiousity kicked in

"I do need to share my successful prank experiences with someone,you know,"he chuckled

"that does not make you any where great,being an professional prankster whatsoever,"I giggled

"oh so you dont think Im great?"he smirked

"I know what to do to convince you that I am indeed 'great'"he emphasised as he bounced his brows gesturing his 'thing'

"oh my god,ewww,you're unbelievable!"I laughed

"unbelievably hot,I know"He chimed smuggishly

Haynes laid his back on the grass and watched the sky

I looked up and felt a bit of disappointment,realising that there werent that many stars as in the movies

Involuntarily,I had myself laid next to him and we both fell into grave silence.

From the corner of my eye I could see Haynes turning his head to face me and he smiled,a smile so genuine,I could see the dents of his dimples

"you know,Allison wont do this with me,she'll just complain about how dirty the grass is,"he said and I turned to face him,realising that our faces were only inches apart.

"well,its a good thing I'm not Allison or you'll be hearing me nagging"I chuckled

"Hey Leah!"I turned to my left and saw Peter approaching me with a plate full of cream

"Peter, dont you dar-,"

In a blink of an eye,the plate catapulted from his palm and onto my face.

I stood on both my feet quickly just so I could get to him before he ran away

"You asked for it!"I yelled after wiping off the cream from my face

Peter ran away towards where my parents were-which was by the barbeque station

I grabbed his arm when he hugged my mom from behind

"mom,help!"he shrieked

"come here you!"I gritted on my teeth

"Leah,lets sort this yes?he's just a child,"Mom consoled,trying to calm me down

"who needs to be taught a lesson!"I pulled his arm harder

"Leah!we'll settle this over when we get back home,"

"fine!I'll get you later nitwit,"I threatened

I could tell that he stuck his tongue out at me when I left him be,to wash my face,

Haynes came by to see me,well he had to chase after me.

"I'll help you clean up,"he laughed when he saw how violated I looked

I rolled my eyes and walked away towards the kitchen inside the house as he followed me

"Thats okay,I can clean myself,"I shrugged,washing my hands clean at the sink

"you sure?because...Your hair its uh,"

He had his finger swabing a cream off off my head

"you have cream all over your hair,"

"what the hell?that bad?"I groaned

I let the water tap running as I used my palm to scoop up water to wash my hair

"oh wow,"Mrs.Sulkin said in a surprise when she entered the kitchen

"you must've been in a cream cross fire in the backyard,honey you can't wash those cream off at the sink!It'll take forever!"She laughed

"go upstairs to the guest bedroom,you can use its bathroom,"she consoled,a smile appeared on her face

"go and help her Haynes,"She darted her eyes onto him

"Go on,"she demanded as she hurried us up the stairs
