"oh honey, you're soaked, here dry yourself up, "mom said with worried a face, handing me a towel from the back seat.

I dried my hair and my face and finally settled down after hugging myself in Dean's sweater.I never knew guys could smell like comfort, his sweater smelled like lilies. I sniffed in a lungful of it and fell asleep

The rain finally died at around 8 o'clock and I was at the living room, my tummy already full after dinner.Dad was there too with Peter. Mom was onto her baking practice in the kitchen.I didnt feel like helping cause I felt tired from school. From life. Heh

"how's school Leah? "dad inquired, taking a break from watching youtube from his phone

"Art has been a hassle, there's a lot to finish up. But the rest of my class are going great, "I smiled assuringly.

"how bout you Peter? "he looked at Peter who was over at the table, doing his homework

"fine, "he soughed

"hmph, that sounded like the opposite of fine, "dad retorted

"its school dad, you know how it is, "Peter said , using the palm of his hand on his chin, supporting the weight of his pout

Dad shook his head and chuckled to Peter's response

"oh,dad, there is going to be a party over at Michael for his birthday this sunday, "Peter exclaimed in all of a sudden

"Michael Sulkin? "

"yea, he said there's going a lot of fun games going on and other types of really cool entertainment as well, "he added

"can we go? "he pleaded,pouting with his puppy eyes

"okay, but you'll have to help me wash the car tomorrow and make sure to finish your homework first"dad declared

"yes! "Peter said, balling up fists with both of his hands and cheered

I smiled deliberately towards his excitement

My phone played 'Without You'by Oh Wonder in all of a sudden and I had to pick up the call,knowing that its from Thea

"hey babe, there's a party tonight, you coming? "she invited

"on a school night? You're kidding. I'm going to bed in an hour! "I giggled

"you're such a kid! Whatever, prioritise your beauty sleep"she shrugged

"bye, have fun but dont go home so late, I dont want you to oversleep and be absent tomorrow, "I laughed and hit the end call button

Dad looked at me and raised both of his brows

"it was Thea, dont ask"I chuckled

My dad nodded while closing his eyes,intiating he knew well of how Thea's attitude is.

I painted a new layer on the skin,realizing that I didnt like the colour so I had to cover it up with a lighter shade. I took a step back and examined the whole look of the painting that I was working on.Ms.Anna came approaching me with a few papers in her hand

She took a look at my painting and gave me her 'approval' nod.

"Leah, there's going to be an exhibition soon at the NightSky Art museum.I want you and Heather as representatives from our school.

"But Ms.Anna,I had my oppotunity last year already, why not give Sophie a chance? "I suggested, considering the skills that she has, she was eligible to exhibit her artworks to the public
