I've left Heather with Ms. Anna right before the exhibition ended to go with Haynes. The car trip was rather quiet and intense. Not to mention what ever escalated so quickly in the car, it made me stay wide awake though I was really sleepy trying to survive the prolonged car trip to a restaurant.
"so this is how we are right now?," he spoke out of the blue.
"just so you know, I'm not good at all this," I
snapped back in a leisure tone."is that why you dont have a boyfriend?" he chortled while his eyes still fixed to the road
"well, I've never had any before," I mumbled under my breath, facing away towards the car window beside me.
"well you've got one now," he exclaimed playfully
"WHAT?! I NEVER SAID-" I exclaimed
He laughed hysterically and almost had the car maneuvered out of the road but somehow was still able to control the steering wheel as he drove.
"I'm joking," he said, collecting his self.
I sank back into my seat, my hands crossed against my chest.
"that honestly-sucked," I scoffed
-
Stopping at the familiar shack, I got out of the car and tried to remember the place, then I saw the big headlights and it finally struck me like a lightning.
"oh s***, this was where I had my first kiss," I let out an awkward laughter.
"who's the lucky guy?," Haynes scoffed, shoving his hands into his hoodie pockets
"news flash? Not a guy even,"
I turned to see Haynes over my shoulders and he had his hand covering his mouth after I heard him gasped.
"Leah, you-uh, you're a les-," He choked
"kidding," I laughed out loud while face palming myself, should've taken a picture of his reaction.
"omg, you should've seen your face, it was so priceless," I said, as my laughter fainted
He went closer to me and did a headlock-which I thought was completely a surprising move but it didnt hurt me so I didnt budge.
"you got me," he mumbled as he let go of me
"well, I wasn't about to let you get away with that joke you made in the car," I cooed while fixing my hair that he had messed up.
Out of my newly found reflexes, I charged towards him to jump on his back when he suddenly turned to face me. I leaped onto his built figure and we both fell hard on the cement roadside. My head knocked onto his and we both winced in pain.
Realizing that our faces were technically only inches away, I couldn't help but to be mesmerised by the flashy blue orbs he calls his eyes.
In meager seconds,I snapped out of my pure bliss and let out another laughter. We didn't even think of moving off of each other. I kinda of want to stay there just a little longer but I couldn't, of course, unless I want to take the chances of the public chastising me then probably I would've. Haynes looked at me straight in the eyes and smirked. I could feel his hands wrapped around my waist, locking me onto his body.
"umm, this is starting to get awkward," I hummed before hassling myself to stand up.
Saying that just made the whole montage weirdly accentuated. *slaps face for being stupid*
I let out my hand for him to grab and he did just that, we both had our hands patting the dirt off of our bottoms.
"well, we are here to eat, y'know not to do something totally cliche-" I emphasised, jerking my head towards the restaurant.
