Pushing the door open, piercing coldness kissed my cheeks as I walked out. Dean was behind me after paying for our meals (he insisted to pay). Shoving both of my hands into my jacket pocket and I shivered to the overwhelming bone-chilling temperature enlivening the not-so-starry night

"you cold?," Dean's voice asked from my back as a I heard a ding which meant he had closed the cafe door behind him.

"I'm fine, lets just head back home," I requested

Suddenly, a warm sensation embraced my body from the back.

"you're cold, here, wear my jacket," He insisted, smiling.

Its so cliche that I almost let out a snort.

"thanks," I smirked and we ambled towards his car.

-

"thanks for the meal, Dean," I thanked

"thank you for being such a good listener," he mumbled

Flattered by his praise, I got out of the car and waved him goodbye as I watched his car drove away and took a  turn at the street corner, soon disappearing from my sight

I let out a sigh and realized that I still had Dean's jacket on which meant, I now have two of his garments with me.Right,I have 2 of his apparels with ME! I should get them washed right away!

-

I fondled Thea's hand-who was sleeping and hoped that she'll be better soon, Noelle stood beside me, her hand on my shoulder.

"we should go buy some food downstairs, we've been here long," she muttered

I left her ward with Noelle to take turns with some other relatives of Thea's that came to visit and we went straight down to the cafeteria to buy some snacks

Choosing the snacks to buy considerately off the shelves, I picked up a bar of Blackforest chocolate, a bar of white chocolate, 2 bags of Cheetos chips,Oreos, a bag of wafers and waffles. Talking about being considerate, being considerate towards my huge appetite I meant.

Shoving all the grocery at the counter, I already had the bill pre-calculated in my head so I could take heed of the expected total price. I wouldn't have a heart attack.

Realising that I forgot to take drinks, I ran to the beverage section and grabbed a bottle of peach tea and water.

I brisked back to the counter, afraid the cashier might already be done registering my things.

Noelle was there at the counter, staring at me as she slowly put down a bag of chips of her selection and a carton of chocolate milk on top of my snacks. She gave me that you-know-what-im-trying-to-tell-you smile and I didn't hinder to know what message she was trying to relay to me. PAY. MY. FOOD. FOR. ME.Her face screamed it all loud and clear.

I laughed as I came closer to her to give a playful punch on the stomach.

"ouch!," she giggled.

"you owe me, twit," I bolted jokingly.

"pay for mine too, thanks Leah," Greg hurtled next to Noelle and propelled his own snack on top of the pile of junk I was about to pay for.

My jaw dropped and I rolled my eyes at him as a chaff.

"fine!" I gave in to their antics and took out my wallet to purchase the tidbits.

-

Tommy came by to visit Thea again and this time he brought her sunflowers.

It was a good thing she was awake.

"Hey, babe," Tommy whispered to Thea who was smiling at his presence.

She let out a low groan when she tried fixing her lying position.

"thanks for the sunflowers," she said softly.

Tommy pecked a kiss on her forehead and laid the sunflowers beside her bed-which was on the lamp table where the fruits and a bottle of water were.

"hi there fighter!" Noelle exclaimed tenderly

Thea laughed a little, her pale lips pale and chapped, the faint bruise on her left was the only thing that marred her face.

"look, I got you chocolates, dont tell the doctor I gave you this," Noelle whispered to her as she shook the bar of chocolate in her hand

"ta-da!," she blatted before tearing off the chocolate foil.

"oh my god guys, stop treating me like a kid! I broke my rib not my hand, just give me the chocolate already!," Thea tutted, opening up her palm to demand for the chocolate bar to be given.

"hell no way, I'll get to feed you this time, no spoon feeding no chocolate," Noelle huffed. Pulling the chocolate away from Thea's grasp

"whatever," Thea rolled her eyes, coerced as she parted her lips.

Noelle made airplane noises as the chocolate piece dove into Thea's mouth and from the look of it, Thea couldnt wait to heal completely just so she could tease Noelle again as revenge.

-

"oh hey, wanna walk with me?," Haynes ejaculated when he suddenly appeared beside me when I closed shut my locker.

My gaze lingered from his face to over his shoulder and I saw Allison watching us from a far and she seemed bothered by it but shockingly, she didnt belly up on us to stop whatever was going on, Instead, she swaggered off with her girlfriends, leaving us be.

"yeah, sure, whatever," I smiled softly, scrunching up my nose while tugging onto the straps of my backpack.

-

It was TENSE when people at the canteen started gaping at you when you strolled along with technically the renowned guy of Masonville Highschool like nothing happened, in which it did. But the faces that was on the students told me the opposite of it.

"I should probably go and sit with my friends now, it was a good walk though," I clicked my tongue, pointing a finger gun at him.

"we're not done yet," he chuckled, pushing back his ebony hair with his hand

"what are we going to do exactly?," I raised a brow.

He queued for his lunch tray and I follow through, unsurprisingly, students started pushing us forward, while they took the privilege of going at the back of the line and had to wait again all over again.

"thanks man," Haynes said to the nerdy looking guy who insisted he could take his turn to the lunch lady first.

-

"hey Haynes, come over here quick!," A very familiar boy shouted across us-ah, its Troy, one of Haynes best friends.Flame, they call him. His mohawk had been tipped with red and orange dye so it looked fire-literally.

Haynes waved his hand and motioned forward while grinning and we walked past by his squad's table.

"hold on, you're not gonna sit with them today?," I asked, stupefied

"nope not today," he said boldly

"today, I sit with you," he turned to me and smiled.
