"my cat's name is D'targnan by the way, "he added

I looked at him puzzled

"excuse me? "I blurted out

"sorry, I meant to add something on our recent conversation,"he chuckled

Of course! How could I forget?!

So,I cant believe myself for starting an instagram conversation with Haynes Raleigh,what?the person who gets texted by numerous wannabe girls who try to win his heart-excluding me.But I just had to say something about that status he updated-a picture of his cat,the cat was too cute,I just had to say "CUTE KSHHJBZHDDJS" without the original intention of texting him duh

"that's a cute name, "I smiled as I felt heat and cold sensation throughout my body.

I could already feel my gut churning. My heart is beating so fast,my breathing couldn't cope with it.

"uh, I have to go now, "

"but you haven't got your lunch yet, "he said

"umm..I just remembered I have a meeting with the counselor.I have to go, "

I obviously lied.At this point, the best reaction to face an unprepared situation is to run away from it.Especially when you know you're gonna screw it up

So I put back the lunch tray to where it was originally stacked on and paced away from the lunch line - him to be more precise.

Man, that was weird. I never thought I could talk to him. Me, Leah Beckart talking with Haynes Raleigh. I can only dream for this to happen.Hence,its not supposed to have happened!!

So I went towards the table where Noelle, Thea, Heather and Sophie had settled in and seated myself as I tried to calm down my nerves. Haze and Debbie were there too (they're Sophie's best friends).Trying my best not to get spotted by Haynes.I knew he couldnt tell that I lied about the meeting, he sure can't find me amongst the crowds of student bodies scattered around the canteen area.

"I cant believe myself for spending $200 on albums! "Debbie exasperated

"look at the bright side, Deb. Atleast I can borrow them from you without paying a cent"Haze snorted

"what's in it for me then? "Debbie rolled her eyes jokingly.

Sophie laughed.

"hey! You get to help your fellow bff!thats what's in it for you! "Haze replied,stucking out her tongue at Debbie

"I thought you had a meeting?"the familiar voice asked in my head

"Leah, Haynes' behind you! "Thea whispered loudly,pointing her finger at me

"right, "I chuckled

Right.The voice definitely didn't come from my head.

I turned back to face Haynes who was stooping down at me.

"meet-meeting's cancelled,right Haze? "I gulped

Haze please act your part!! Help me!

"yeah, it was,It got rescheduled till Saturday. I thought you didnt knew that there was going to be a meeting."Haze muffled with the bread she shoved inside her mouth just now.

"hah.."I laughed nervously

"here, I got you something to eat,I see that you havent got your lunch tray, "

A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he lent me a juice box and a muffin.

My jaw dropped as I kept a constant stare at him for a few milliseconds before snapping out of it
