Kimora's POV

I was trying to pinpoint where the killer would drop off the victim. From the clues, it had to be somewhere with a lot of people and had to have an open space with green grass. Three maps were spread across the desk, and I was occupied with pens and rulers in every direction. I highlighted areas that had a high population count on one map. Another with open spaces with grass and the final one with high-rises that would give a view from those places. My laptop sat in my lap as I searched for something close to the riddle he gave us. I have been doing this for hours, and my brain was beginning to hurt. I put the laptop on the table and rested my head on my arms to take a break.

Jaehwa's POV

I walked into the break room to refill the coffee when I saw Kimora resting. The materials she had covered the table completely. I tapped her laptop and saw tabs after tabs of places that could be potential spots. I walked over and grabbed a blanket to put around her. It was very late at night, and we had a lot to do. I went back up to the office and began to work.

"Ok, to recap. We have 7 females, ages ranging from 16- 29. And one male, age 34. Now with the potential of another female, that makes 8. In total, there are 9 victims."

I glanced at the letters, trying to see if there was something I had missed before. Nothing. I ran a hand up my face and through my hair. I sat down in my chair and loosened my tie. This whole game started back with Miranda Choi, the very first victim, and I'm guessing he wants to end it with Kimora. When will he attack? How long do we have? I hear shuffling behind me and turned to see Kimora with the blanket wrapped around her. She looked so tired. I held out my hand, which she took and brought her onto my lap. Her thighs straddled over mine, and her head rested under my chin. Both her arms wrapped around my frame as she settled onto my body. I moved my arm under her bottom so that she wouldn't fall out of the small chair, we now shared and with my other arm flipped through files of information. She took in a deep breath and settled closer to my body and quickly fell asleep afterward.

Kimora's POV

When I woke up, I was no longer on Jay's lap but on the couch in the office. I opened my eyes to see Jay standing at the board, writing things down. His shirt was untucked, and the first couple of buttons undone. His hair was unkempt, and a pencil tucked behind his ear. I sat up, feeling like I was in another world. Walking over to him, I kissed him on the cheek.

"I'm going back to work."

He looked at me, grabbing the back of my head, and pulled me towards him. Lips connecting and eyes closed. After a few seconds, we pulled apart.

"Thanks for the energy."

I smiled at him and turned around, only to receive a slap to my rear. I gave him a short glare and held my butt as I walked out the doors. Upon returning to the break room, I looked up at the clock. It was 2 in the morning. The sun will be rising in 4 hours.

"Wait, the sun!"

I grabbed the last letter from the table.

"Instead of green, how about painting where the sun doesn't shine. Between a structural baring to hold it up. Just beautiful."

I put it down and grabbed a pen and a map

"If the sun rises around here, that cancels out these three spots since the sun hits them."

I grabbed the next map, crossing out those structures. Now only left with two spots. Grabbing the last map, most populated, leaving me with only one spot. No sun shines on this park.

"That's it. I think I found it!"

I ran out of the room and to the office. When I got there, Jay was asleep in a chair. I felt bad about waking him up, but this was important.
