Kimora's POV

I could tell it was morning, but I really didn't want to get out of bed. The warmth wrapped my body, and the plush bed absorbs all my pain away. Just as I was about to fall asleep again, the blankets were ripped from my body. With my eyes shut, I groaned in protest. I felt hands on my body, trying to pull me from my sleep. Grabbing the pillow next to me, I send out my attack. A grunt was my victory as the hands stopped their attack.

"Babe, you got to get up."

I heard Jay's voice but still refused to open my eyes.

"No."

I felt my body getting lifted as I still tried to resist. Next thing I know, I was sitting up on the edge of the bed. My feet were on top of Jay's. Then I was pulled up into his chest. Only then did I finally open my eyes to such a handsome face of my boyfriend.

"Finally. I thought it was going to take longer than yesterday."

"I want to sleep."

I try to go limp in his arms, but they were too strong.

"No, you don't. You have to do your exercises."

"Tomorrow."

I wined

"You did that yesterday. It's been two days now."

I looked him in the eyes, trying my best to give him the puppy eyes, he so dearly hates.

"Not today. I'm not letting you skip another day."

I groaned and just let him do what he wanted. With my feet on his, he began to walk towards the kitchen. The motion-activated all my aching joints and muscles as I was walking backward.

"Come on, stand up straight."

"It hurts."

"I know, baby, but you're improving so much."

He then walked backward, making my front. With every step, it was setting my nervous system in a frenzy. It's been about 10 months since I got out of the hospital. I was able to regain ability in my arm and back, yet the damage from my hip and legs were very severe. So I've been doing physical therapy for about 7 months now with Jay by my side. He took time off from work in order to help me. I was so grateful for him, but sometimes I wanted to hit him.

"After this, let put on your brace and have you walk by yourself."

"Fine."

We walked back to our room, where he sat me down on the bed. I flopped back, hoping to catch some more sleep. I felt him slip my feet into my brace. Opening one eye, I watched his working face. He was so calm and patient with me for the past couple of months. We had some trouble. He was promoted but turned it down because he wanted to focus on me and my recovery. I ended up stepping down until I made a full recovery from my injuries. We also found a new apartment since the last one had more bad memories than good. Everything was back to normal, minus me learning how to walk again. Once both my feet were strapped in, I was sat back up, then tugged to standing.

"Now, we attach this here."

And with a final click, I was in my leg brace.

"Every time I put this on, I feel like War Machine after his accident in Civil War."

"And he's doing fine."

Jay stood back and grabbed my hands

"Ok, let's try."

The amount of energy it takes me to lift one leg became harder and harder as months past. At one point, I wanted to give up. I couldn't even sit up on my own in the beginning. I felt hopeless. If it wasn't for Jay, I wouldn't be here now. I thought about breaking up with him and moving back home so that he could live his life. When I brought up the word "break" at the hospital. He cut me off and told me off
