Kimora's POV

"Are you ready?"

My mom opened the door and poked her head in. I nodded, standing up, smoothing out my dress. I walked over to her. Taking her hand, she opened the door. I saw my dad and took his arm. We walked over to the main building together. I stopped and released a big sigh.

"Come on, Honey."

We walked through the doors of the church. As we made our way in, I saw Jay sitting in the first pew. He turned and saw us. Standing up, he helped me in then my parents. We flew to New York for the anniversary of Miranda. While I was still trying to hold back the tears, the Choi's tapped us on the shoulders.

"I'm so glad you were able to make it."

We hugged and laughed and cried. Then the service started.

"Good evening, and welcome to the anniversary of Miss. Miranda Choi..."

After the priest gave his speech, a video was played. It showed all the great memories that Miranda had. At one point, pictures of Miranda and I were shown. I felt my tears coming back. Jay than held my hand, and I rested my head on his shoulder. Once the video was over, the priest called on me. I stood up and walked over to the stand.

"Hello, my name is Kimora Diamond..."

I looked down at my speech, and a tear fell. Looking back up, I spoke.

"Miranda Choi was..."

*After the service

I stood by the Choi's, shaking hands with close family members and friends.

"It was absolutely beautiful."

"Thank you for coming."

"Kimora."

I glanced up to see Jay walking towards me. I smiled at him.

"We're going out to eat with your parents. I'm going to get the car with your dad.

I nodded, and he kissed my head and left. After a couple of minutes, my mom walked over, looking concerned.

"Honey, are you okay?"

"My hips are starting to hurt again. Maybe from all this standing."

I gave a convincing smile as I took her hand.

"How long has it been hurting?"

"About a week."

"Have you told Jay?"

"No. I don't want him worrying while he's back at work. He's trying for the promotion again."

"Well, when it gets hard, tell him."

"Okay, mom."

*Back in Korea

It's been about a month since we left the States, and my hips were hurting more and more each day. Of course, I wouldn't tell Jay. He has been working hard to try and get that promotion again. I woke up to an empty bed this morning. Sitting up, pain shot up my spine.

"Ahhhhh!"

I held my side as it subsided.

"I have to go to the doctor's."

I managed to stand up and put on my brace. It helped some with the pain. I walked outside and hailed a cab. Standing outside the hospital, I began to feel some sort of tension but just waved it off. I approached the front desk and talked to the nurse.
