*Perry's P.O.V.*
Everyone sat at the kitchen table. Including Elliott who had finally emerged from Kendall's room. Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I keyed my mother's number and put it to my ear. I was way too nervous to be speaking to my mother.
"Oh look who called." She said.
"Well, good morning to you too."
"What do you want? Did your boyfriend dump your pregnant ass on the street somewhere?"
"I'm not calling about me, in fact, Beau and I are doing well. This is about Kendall." I said, already growing agitated.
She laughed.
"Kendall ran off too, apparently to your place right?"
"Yes."
"Then what are you worried about? Keep her, I don't want her back, you've poisoned her mind already." She said.
"I'm worried about what went on at home, she has these marks all over her. Kendall has confessed to me about abuse, self harm and multiple accounts of rape. Do you really think no one would find out?!" I almost yelled.
"She's lying."
Does she really have the nerve.
"Go to hell, Kendall wouldn't lie about something like that."
"That's what she wants you to think."
"We'll see what the cops say, how about that?" I said very angrily into the phone, hanging it up and slamming it down. Everyone staring at me anxiously.
"I hate talking to her." I muttered. I looked up at Kendall, who had tears trailing down her cheeks. Getting up, I walked over and yanked her up out of her chair, pulling her into the biggest hug I could attempt. Once her face was hidden into my shirt, she sobbed uncontrollably.
"Everything is going to be okay." I said, trying to give her the closure she deserved but didn't have. She pulled away from the hug and looked into the ground. She didn't say anything. "Why don't you go lay down, or watch T.V. in your room?" I said. She nodded, still keeping her gaze at her feet. She walked off into the hallway and out of sight. I walked back to the table sitting down next to Beau.
"So what are we gonna do?" Elliott asked, looking at me from across the table.
"Well, we're going to go to the cops I guess." I said, leaning my head against Beau's shoulder. "That's the only option we really have." I closed my eyes, surprisingly exhausted, resting my hand on my stomach. I swear I'll pop any day now. Elliot and Beau just nodded, looking off in different directions.
...
It was around one o' clock when we all finally piled into Beau's car, heading off to the police station. Beau driving, Elliot and Kendall in the back, and me in the passenger seat. It was a quiet drive, there wasn't much to say anyway. Arriving at the police station, we were escorted into a room with a long table. Not like a interrogation room, but more like a conference room. A man with a suit sat at the head of the table. He was thicker, and had blonde hair with grey woven in.
"Good afternoon," He said, sitting down in his chair. "I'm Officer Jonas Maddack."
"Hi, I'm Beau." Beau said, shaking Officer Maddack's hand, then sitting down next to me. "This is my girlfriend, Perry, her sister Kendall and our friend Elliott."
"Nice to meet everyone." He said, clicking his pen anticipating writing on his notepad. "How can I be of assistance to you all."
"Well," I said, pausing, choosing my words carefully. Before I could say anything Kendall summed it up in one sentence.
"My parents are abusing me, my cousin has raped me on multiple occasions and I've attempted suicide three times within the past year."
Holy Shit.
