Demi's POV

Today is the day before Selena's birthday and Niall and I decided to call the gang and plan a little barbecue before the actual day. I woke up around seven checking to make sure I had everything that we needed for later on today. Ariana decided to sleep over which made it so much more easier for me. I don't know if I could of handled planning all of this by myself.

I sat on the kitchen table writing a list of things I needed. I heard footsteps coming into the kitchen. When I turned around, I saw a sleepy Ariana rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands. I couldn't help but think how cute she looked.

" Aww, you look gorgeous" I said as she glared at me. She sat next to me and slapped my arm playfully.

" Next time you want to plan a barbecue, don't include me" she said as she yawned, " Some people still need their beauty sleep."

I laughed at what she said and continued writing shaking my head.

" I guess we both have different definitons of what beauty means because you look like a beast right now" I said as I looked up at her.

She gasped and pushed me off the chair. I ended up hitting my arm on the hard tiled floor. I groaned as I watched her laugh taking the paper I was writing on into her hands.

I sat back up and grabbed the paper out of her hands angrily.

" Paybacks a bitch, huh?" She said as she walked over to my fridge and took out the eggs.

" Whatever" I said as glanced over at her, " Are you going to give her present today or tomorrow?"

She shrugged as she took a bowl and cracked two eggs.

" I think we should do something for her tomorrow as well" she said walking back to the fridge and taking out the milk, " I think we should all go to her house early in the morning with a cake and surprise her"

" I thought you weren't a morning person?" I said as I watched her mix the eggs and the milk together, " besides, she will probably be the one that answers the door"

She took a pot from inside of the cupboard and turned on the stove. She turned around to face me and shrugged.

" Isn't her mom back?" She said turning back around and placing the pot on the stove, " we could call her and tell her what we decided to do" She poured the mixture into the pot and grabbed a spoon, " Selena's really special and it would be nice if the plan works out the way we want it too"

I smiled not because of what she said but because she was making us breakfast. I don't remember the last time I saw Ariana do something like this for someone that wasn't herself. Seeing Ariana in the kitchen, making us omelettes brought me great joy and definitely made me take a picture of her with my Polaroid camera.

She grabbed three plates from the cupboard and placed the omelettes onto to them. She gave me my plate and I smiled at her. She sat next to me and I couldn't stop looking at her smiling.

" Thanks for breakfast babe" I said placing my hand on her thigh, " With the amazing night we had, it's good waking up to this"

She looked at me and raised her brow. " Okay Demi," she said as she removed my hand away from her thighs. " I might have had a crush on you in the past but that was a long time ago" she said looking at me, " What are you doing?"
