Demi's POV

Today is the day. Today is Selena's official birthday. After Selena and Miley left, Niall, Justin, Liam, Ariana and Ashley decided to sleepover at my house. My mom wasn't to happy but I don't know what's up with her lately so I didn't really care. We wanted to go by Selena's house later on this morning all together instead of going one by one.

We woke up at six this morning, had breakfast and got ready. We all got into my car and drove straight to Selena's.

We pulled up into her driveway, got out of the car and walked towards her front door. I took out my phone and called Selena's mom because we didn't want Selena to wake up.

She opened the door, smiled at us and welcomed us inside.

" This is really sweet what you guys are doing for my daughter" she said smiling at us as we all followed her into the kitchen.

" It's our pleasure" I said as Niall took the two paintings out of my hand and rest it against the kitchen counter, " Careful of the bows" I said smiling at him.

" She's gonna be so speechless when she sees all of you" she said excited as she carefully took the cake out of Justin's hand. " It's okay, I got it" she said smiling at him placing the cake on the table.

There was silent knock on the door and Ariana went to open it. Miley walked in waving at all of us. She gave Selena's mom a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

" Is she awake yet?" She asked looking at us. We nodded our heads and she did the same. " Good"

" This is so nerve racking" Ashley said feeling a little bit nervous.

I walked over to her and gave her a hug. As we were placing our gifts on the table, we heard footsteps coming down the stairs. We all tried to act normal as we watched a tired Selena walk into the kitchen rubbing her eyes.

" Mom would you keep it down I'm," She said but didn't continue as she looked at us confused, " what's going on?"

" HAPPY BIRTHDAY" We shouted. She held her hands in front of her mouth shocked. Miley walked over to her and put on a birthday hat on top of Selena's head.

She took a seat on one her kitchen chairs as I was first one to hand her present that I got for her. She awed at the two painting and held them up so she could get a better look.

" Demi you didn't" she said touched. " They're beautiful" she said looking up at me, " thank you so much"

" That's not all I got for you" I said smiling at her. She watched as I took out a cd case from my purse and handed it to her. " You remembered when you slept over my house and you wrote in my song book lyrics to a song that you wrote called one and the same?"

She nodded her head and smiled. Last year, Selena and I would always sleep over each other houses. We were practically living together and the best part about it is that our parents didn't mind it.

" And you remember when we went into the studio and recorded it?" I said as she nodded her head now in confusion, " well, I went back to the studio, did a couple of more recording and ending up getting the studio version to the song" I said smiling. She got up from her seat and hugged me tightly. " Okay get off you're suffocating me" I said trying to breath.
