The pack lands that I and my siblings were born in, are so far out of the way that its hard to remember how to get there.

Austin grips my hand, reminding me he's here with me. "It'll be okay, we are making good time."

I don't say anything to him, I'm to busy trying to remember everything about my old home land. I remember we were by a waterfall and that a lot of the homes were made out of the rocks.

"Do you remember how old you were, when you left?"

"I was young enough that I only remember some things. But dad made us remember how to get back, if we ever need to go back."  Stretching out my arms, I try to get the stiffness our of my arms and back. "It won't be until evening time till we get there. That is, if things go as planned."

He glances at me slightly worried. "Is there something your not telling me?"

We past two big trees and my mind goes back into the past, from when I was a child.

Nova Past:

Our pack has been cut down, many dead and many hurt. Dad limps next to me, one of his eyes is damaged for the time being. But there is no guaranty he'll see out of his eye like he did before.

Night is coming, we need to stop and rest, but we can't. The other packs are still after us and we are to weak to fight them.

We come to two big trees that reach high above us, their branches are like arms reaching high above us. Their leafs sway above us, the wind trying to blow our worries and the feeling of dread that we could all die.

We set up camp, no fires to light the night. If we did make a fire, we could be found. The wind is blowing our smells away, hard for those hunting us to find us.

"Kids," dad calls to us, standing by the trees. We get up from the kid group and go to him. "Its your job to remember the land marks, in case you ever need to go back home. Tell me what they are, so I know you can remember them."

Cody squares his shoulders. His dads little solder. "Panther rock, the river, the grave yard of our people and as of now these trees."

Dad shakes his head approving. "Good, now go get some rest."

Nova Preasent:

Austin pats my knee. "Is this one of those land marks you were telling me before?"

"Yeah," the trees have grown over the years of course, but they are the same. "We can ride in the Hummer a bit longer, but I don't know for how much longer, cause the land more then likely changed over time."

He shakes his head. "Have you ever thought of coming back to this place?"

"No, it may had been were I was born, but its just a place."

"Do you think anything will be left from when you had to escape?"

"The homes were made out of rock, so I would be surprised if they were destroyed."

"Maybe in the future and we have kids, we could make a family trip of this and show them where their mom comes from. I mean, your background more exiting then mine." After that the ride quite, until he thinks of what he said. "I really need to think before I talk about the future."

"Austin, my past is my past. What I had to go threw and live threw the death of so many of my family members, is something I would want to hold off on telling our future kids for a few years."

He kisses my hand and holds on to it tight. "Sorry love."

I made it a rule a long time ago not to talk to anyone about my past. But Austin my mate, he is to stand by me on anything and the same the other way. "Dad used to tell me after we fled our home land, I would scream in my sleep, but not remember what I had drempt about."
