I didn't want to go back home, we were having to much fun. But Austin said things were almost done and it was getting late.

Leave the basket and blanket behind, he said someone would come and get it.

When we head back, I ride on his back, instead of being thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. When I'm secure on his back, we start to move.

Barring my nose into his neck, I breath in his smell. He smells like forest, clean lake water and him. "You smell good," I tell him.

He chuckles, squeezing my legs. "You do to."

"How long do you think it'll be, till I get pregnant?" My voice is soft and unsure. I've noticed since I've found my mate, that I feel different about things. Once I would crush anyone that would cross me. But now, I feel like a shaken leaf in a strong wind trying to hang on to the tree for dear life. I hate feeling this way. When did I become like this? Maybe it's the mate thing? I guess everyone goes threw their own mate thing of growing as one. Lean on one another and such.

"You very well could be pregnant. We'll go get you a pregnant test tomorrow and see what it says." We go on in silence for about five minutes before he speaks again. "Would you want a boy or a girl first?" He asks.

Shrugging my shoulders, I play with his hair. "Not sure. Just want them healthy and happy."

"Me too,"

Getting out of the shower, I wrap towel around myself and start to dry out my hair. Austin in another room getting ready for the party.

Once I get my hair dried out, I go into the room where my red dress, with black mixed in with it, with a mask and hair peace that goes well with it lays.

Putting fresh unders on, I get in the dress and zip it up as best as I can, braid my hair over my shoulder, I put the hair peace of a feather hanging over my head and then the mask. When I slip my feet into the heals, there a soft knock and then in walks Austin, dressed in a black tux, with a dark purple tie, a black mask, with decoration of purple on it.

He runs his fingers threw his hair, when he sees me. "You have no idea how much I don't want to share you right now, looking like that."

Smiling, I turn so my back to him. "Finish zipping me up?"

He's behind me before I can even blink, zipping me up. "I can't wait to get this off of you." He growls against my ear.

Chuckling, I turn around so I can look at him. "I really need to teach you manners don't I?" Kissing his cheek, he softly growls, freeing a few strands of my hair from the braid. "Shall we go?"

He smiles at me, turns to my side and holds out his arm to me. "We shall." Taking his arm, he leads us from our room and to the stares, where there music playing, people talking, eating and some dancing.

When a few people see us, everything quits down and they bow their heads, as we come down the stares. Once we are on the main floor, they all say the same thing. "Happy birthday Luna!"

Smiling at them I thank them all and the party goes back to what is was going like before.

"Do you want something to eat?" Austin asks, which I return into shaking my head. "I'll be back," he tells me, before going off to find some food.

Wondering off, a few people wish me happy birthday again. I thank them and go into the living room. Looking at the big area in front of the sofas, instead of a Christmas tree like there had been, not even a year ago, there is a nice size table, with gifts on them.

My mind wonders to that time not even a year ago. We didn't even celebrate Christmas on time, and now we are in October celebrating a birthday.

A hand grabs on to mine. Looking down its Maria. "Happy birthday mom!" She gives me a hug.

Smiling down at her, we pull apart. "Have you been having a good time? Been making any friends?" Her face turns a soft pink, and shakes her head. Glancing around, there young kids scattered about, those I see, are to young to shift. Looking back down to her, she still blushing. "Be careful or grandpa or your Uncle or Austin might scare them away." I tease.

She huffs. "They don't scare me."

A shadow falls over Maria. "Who doesn't scare you?" My brother Cody asks, holding a plate of food to her.

Maria rushes away, not giving us a second look. My brother gives me a confused look under his blue mask. "She making new friends and I'm sure there is boys. So be nice,"

He rolls his eyes. "When have you never known me to be nice?"

Easy opening. "I got a note book full of times you weren't nice." I tell him.

He scoffs. "Of course you do," he munches on his food. "Have you seen dad yet?"

"Not yet," Austin then comes with a plate of food for myself and picks food off the plate. "Have you been busy wooing the ladies?"

He smiles broadly at me. "Of course, now if you'll excuse me, there a lady over there I would like to talk to." My brother makes a bee line for a woman in a yellow dress and marching mask.

"Is that-"

"Yep, that's one of the sisters I use to- before I met you." He trails off.

Oh for that's all holley. "Let's go wonder around, before I brake her into a thousand ground bones." I tell him, grabbing his hand and leading him away.

"I love it when you get all mean," he growls out softly.

Smiling up at him, we keep walking on.

We wonder around a good ten minutes, without seeing dad. I try to mind link him, but he's blocking me.

I go find Cory, he's leaning against the wall. "Where dad at?"

"I don't know, he was supposed to be here by now." He comments.

"Have you talked to him? I can't get him threw the mind link." He shakes his head. "Where your phone?" He pulls it out of his suite pocket and hands it over.

When he hands the phone over to me, one of the big windows is broken threw with a big rock with a peace of paper.

Austin goes to it and looks at the peace of paper. Everyone leave, take your family with you. Lock your windows and doors. He tells everyone using the mind link.

The guests start to flood out of the mansion. When it's just Austin, Cory, Maria and me left, I go to Austin. Austin hands the paper to me.

Your old man has a hot head. I'll return him, if you give me Maria. The note says and along with the note, there a picture of dad chained down with silver. At the bottom there an added note. You have three days to return my daughter. The grave yard at her head stone. Six O'clock.

Cory takes the note and picture. He reads everything and deeply growls.

"What is it?" Maria asks big eyed.

She to young to know the real truth of her father. Just to young. I think to myself. "Grown up stuff is all. Come on, let's get changed and I'll put you to bed, so these two can clean this place up a little bit." Ushering her up the stairs, I don't look back at them, even though I link my mind to them. We will get dad back, with out handing Maria over. I tell them, not missing a step, as I take Maria to her room.
