I run to Austin, his body looks broken, but it soon starts to heal itself. Kneeling down to him, I turn him on his back. He groans in pain, only to look up at me. His eyes look different from what they normally look. "Run," he whispers to me.

"No, you can fight this Austin, I know you can." Holding his face in my hands, I touch my forehead to his.

He groans again, his chest raising up in a painful way. "I thought...she was you...I should known better." His back starts to pop, his shoulders start to move oddly. "She had her back to me...when I got closer she turned and stabbed me...with silver." He cries out as he tries to stop the shift. "I thought...you had...somehow...gotten around faster....and just...waited for me..." he screams in pain, the shift starts to win over his humanity.

"I'm going to find a way to fix this, I promise." I tell him with tears streaming down my face.

He reaches up to smooth them away, only to withdraw his hand and cry out in pain. "RUN!" He screams out, just before he shifts.

Jumping back I shift into my half form and take to the tree's. "MAY!" My scream is lost in Austin howl for blood, but I can't help but not the soft howl after it, a cry for loss and need for me to be with him. I'll fix this Austin, I'll make this all right, I promise.

POV: Austin

I try to fight my thirst for blood, but the beast in me is stronger then the man right now. But even he wants Nova by our side. The need for our mate drives me and the wolf part of myself, to follow her, either to turn her into a ferial or to be with her and to do what mate's are meant to do. Protect and love one another.

Howling to the sky, the sun is starting to rise, chasing away the night, but this nightmare isn't over yet.

POV: Nova

I sniff May out and I don't let up, chasing after her until she in a tree that almost stands alone, as I stand in the one almost closets to her. "I know you can fix this May!"

She smiles at me, her hair bright in the sunlight. "Yes I can, but I won't help you."

"Didn't figure you would. I just wanted to make sure you had a way to fix what you have done."

"You know I have it, but do you know where I have it stashed?" she asks, clearly thinking she has the upper hand, but something clicks in my head and that gets me to smile. "What are you smiling at?!"

"Cause I know where its at."

Her face turns red. "No you don't!"

Leaning back in the tree, I lean forward, starting to get it to sway. I can easily jump to her, but if I get my smell to drift to her maybe I can turn her creations against her. "It would only make sense to leave it with him, you hate him and the family enough. You say he will be dead soon and you think that Austin will kill me, before I can get to him and save them both."

She snarls at me. "Always the smart one, even back when we were kids. But you figuring that out, won't save you." She tells me.

I can hear the crashing of the tree's bellow of two large wolves heading our way. They snap and growl racing to us. "Oh I think it will." Going back one last time, I launch myself forward. She ready for me, I can tell, but she not ready for me to go lower on the tree and kick it with so much force, that where she stands and the upper half of the tree goes down, crashing into the other tree's close by. Thankfully she wasn't to high up or the limbs wouldn't catch. She so off balance from the sudden hit from the tree, she doesn't even have time get to the other tree.

She lands flat on her back, the wind knocked out of her. "No...va..." she gasps out.

"Hope those witches don't mind that we took you down, before they could collect you for whatever they wanted you for. But in truth, I think if they really had wanted you, they would had collected you a long time ago." Austin and Cain jump threw the tree's and I don't know if it's the blood lust they look for or if it's that I made my smell drift to her. Either way, they descend on to her and start to rip her apart, she screams in bloody agony and even screams for me to help her and that she sorry. But I know she not sorry, she never was the sort of person that was ever sorry for the things she did. "You were lost to us long ago May, maybe now you can find some place where you truly belong in the after world." Looking away, I start to jump threw the tree's going back to my old home, as Austin and Cain finish off what is left of my sister.

POV: Austin

Caid and I kill May, blood drips between our teeth, her blood on our fur's. She cried for us to stop at some point, but we were to far gone in the blood. My wolf snarls after the job is done. You could never be a mate like your sister, you were to far in your own mind to care for anyone but yourself. My wolf snaps its jaws at her like she still alive.

Caid sways side to side, his eyes look far off, like he sees something I don't. I feel so broken.

I hear him whisper, I don't even know if he knows I can hear him like this. Caid, was she your-

She told me, she was finally happy. Then she turned me into this. He swings his head side to side, he shows his teeth, a deep throat growl slips threw his throat. I should known better, I should seen it in her eyes she didn't love me. He looks at me and growls at me, turning me into the enemy. If you love Nova, you'll kill me with your own teeth, or I'll go after her and make sure you lose your mate to.

The instant he says he would kill Nova and make me alone in the world, makes the wolf and me snap and all to fast, we are fighting, both snapping our teeth at one another, claws going into skin past the fur. You want to be sent after that monster, that turned you and others into monsters, that fine by me!

As I open my mouth to snap down on his neck, he looks up at me, his eyes clearing from whatever May put in his system. I don't see hate, I don't see a broken wolf, all I see is a man about to be put at piece mate or no mate. Watch over Nova, she was one of the good things in the world I had and truthfully, I hate you for having her. His last words haunt me, as I close my teeth around his throat, ending his life.

POV: Nova

The small town comes into view, it's not what little I remember of it, but it's no surprise, no one has lived here for a long time. Sniffing the air, I can faintly smell dad. The sun is hitting me right in the eye, so when I look away I see a trapped door open in the ground. Going to the door, I sniff the air and dad smell is stronger down there.

Glancing around making sure I'm in the clear, I slip bellow holding onto the wall, feeling my way down in the darkness. The steps are dirt, smooth under my feet. After a few minutes, I finally see an opening into a room with a fire going. Picking up my speed, I go into the room. There is gears slowly clicking like a clock, water runs under them and right in the middle of it is dad, his arms pulled horribly by ropes. His arms have turned purple. His face covered in pain.

"Dad!" I call out rushing to him, jumping up in the air, my claws grow and slash threw the ropes. Wrapping my arms around his body, I try to land perfectly on the ground not to move him around more then I need to, but he weighs more then me and my balance isn't as it should be with little sleep that I have. Laying him down, his eyes are closed, but his face is pained. "Dad can you hear me?" patting the side of his face does nothing.

Leaning down, I hear his heart slowly move against his chest.

Something makes me look up, my heart drops into my stomach and my body becomes ice cold. This fear I have never felt and I shouldn't feel this sort of fear, not with him. "Austin," I whimper with tears starting to fall down my face.

He growls at me, his teeth red with blood. His eye's look so far gone and all at once, I feel truly alone. My last brother and my niece so far away from me, safe from this madness. But I truly feel alone, my dad very well might die and then my mate, looks like he will kill me.

My hand slides back and I feel something in dad pocket. Slowly I pull it out, it's a needle no bigger then my hand. This could turn him back. This could bring him back to me. Austin snarls at me, he gets in a stance like he is about to jump and attack. Looking up for who knows what reason, I see my mom in a perfectly carved block of ice it looks like, frozen the age that she was when she died. She in her wedding dress, her arms crossed over her chest. Magic no doubt has kept her so beautiful even in death. Please mom, help me bring him back. Tears in my eyes I charge forward at Austin, jumping over the small river. He jumps at me in return, his mouth open, his teeth ready to go for the kill. I drive the needle into his chest, as his teeth go into my shoulder. I scream in pain and in his response of being stabbed is a deep growl and biting down harder. Still crying, I whisper to him what very well could be my last words to him. "Come back to me Austin, please come back." Then everything is gone.
