"We should start at Dot's apartment in Greenpoint, and there's this thrift store that she-" Clary gasped, cutting herself off and zoning out.
"What's wrong?" Apollo asked the ginger.
"What is it?" Jace demanded.
"I, um," Clary trailed off. "Weirdly, I think I know where Dot is."
"Great. I'll drive." Simon grinned. "What? Unless you have, like, a Shadowhunter-mobile or something." He frowned, before the rest of the shadowhunters walked out of the training room. "You were kidding about the runes on the floor killing me right?"
"Possibly." Jace slapped the boys cheek before leaving with the rest of them, Apollo shaking his head behind Jace's back.

The group was walking down an alley way by Pandemonium before Clary gasped again.
"No! Dot. Dot!" She broke off into a sprint.
"Clary! Clary, stop! Where are you going?" Jace shouted after the girl as the rest of the group ran after her.
"Two men, Circle members the same ones who came to my house, who took my mom. They have Dot. They're gonna hurt her or kill her. We have to stop them!" Clary breathed heavily before running again, turning the corner, only to see no one.
"No. She was just trying to help me. Now, she's gone." She cried.
"Clary, I'm sorry." Simon embraced the girl as Apollo came over, blue eyes full of sadness, as he held the girls hand.
"You don't understand. Dot's like my big sister." She pushed Simon away.
"It's not safe here. We have to go back to the Institute right now." Alec spoke up, breaking the silence. Apollo nodded in agreement.
"So, what now? Valentine has my mom and Dot, and we're just gonna give up? What about my memories? They can't just be gone?" Clary fired off.
"Clary, you're not safe." Apollo tried to coax the girl into going back to the institute.
"Shut up, Apollo!" Clary snapped, Apollo just glared back.
"There is another option." Jace said, looking at Apollo cautiously.
"Don't even."
"Absolutely not." The Lightwood siblings reprimanded their adoptive sibling.
"I'm not afraid of the Silent Brothers." Jace smirked at the two before looking at Apollo whose lip was turned up in a snarl and his eyes were glowing golden one again, steam coming from his searing skin.
"Who are the Silent Brothers?"
"They're Shadowhunter's with superior powers." Isabelle answered.
