Apollo thought it would be best to wait downstairs with Dot, instead of staying with the redheads and intrude on the Fray's heritage explanation. It wasn't his place, Clary was about to learn about a world that essentially shunned her, she didn't need the icing on top that Apollo wasn't really her brother.
"She doesn't deserve to be pushed into this life." Dot said to the god, shaking her head. "She's too good for it." A tear slipped down her face.
"Come here, D. It'll be okay. She's a tough girl. A real tough girl." He sighed, embracing the woman in a bear hug. It wasn't fair, but neither was life.
Their comfort session was cut short, Apollo's phone ringing through the sharp silence. Magnus' name was flashing on his screen
"Mags?" He heard heavy breathing from the speaker.
"They found you. I'm sorry. Tell Jocelyn that the circle has found you." Magnus rushed out before hanging up." He shoved his phone back into his pocket, looking at Dot with wide eyes.
"Go warn, Jocelyn, D. I'll get the potion." He ordered, letting the Godly side of him simmer to the surface of his skin.
As Dot ran up the stairs to the loft, Apollo went to the safe to grab the potion that Ragnor Fell made for Jocelyn years ago. Apollo looked at the glowing potion, before sighing and making his way upstairs with it clutched in his fist.
When he got into the lofts living room, he saw Clary and Jocelyn hugging tightly.
"Jocelyn," he interrupted. "In case you need it." Apollo handed the woman the vial before going to Clary's side and holding her hand.
"Dot, it's time." The warlock nodded, getting ready to open a portal.
"Okay, listen to me," Jocelyn started, grabbing her daughter by the shoulders. "You cannot be near me."
"What's happening?" Clary cried out, looking for answers.
"I got a very powerful person angry." Jocelyn sighed.
"What did you do?" Clary asked her mother, looking to Apollo as if he could provide the answers her mother couldn't.
"I hid something from him and his followers." Jocelyn vaguely replied to the girl.
"Followers?" Clary asked. "Why can't we just call the police?" Clary went to reach for the home phone, only for Apollo to crush it with his hand, shaking his head at the girl.
"The policeman you need to call is Luke." She sternly told her daughter, not bothering to reprimand the god for breaking the phone. It didn't matter at this point. "Keep this with you and think of me when you wear it." Jocelyn put a purple, crystal like necklace around the girls neck, squeezing Apollo's hand.
"Mom, this is not the time for more birthday gifts. What the hell is happening?" Nobody answered the distressed teenager.
"Only if you need it." Dot reminded Jocelyn, pointing to the potion on the coffee table.
