Every Life has a meaning

As I stand upon the ghostly shore

I see the truth in waves

They tell me that I am different

They let me know they want me

I hear the voices from the wind

The skies carrying the tears

People do not notice me

To them I am a ghost

Another lost soul for which they do not care

They walk into me an take no heed

I scream their names but none will hear

To them I do not exist

I take the blade and pierce my flesh

The pain takes the suffering away

This does not last forever

And I again feel emotional pain

I look for a way out of this world

There are so many options

It does not matter how it ends

No one would glance my way

I go to make the final jump

When voices call my name

I look up and do not understand

Why people want me now

They are telling me they love me

They do not want me to leave

I still do not understand

Again I try to jump

To the beckoning waves below

I am pulled from the cliff

And they take me to my home

I see faces of people I long forgot

And the tears begin to spill

Now I realise what it means

To have someone there to care

I shake my head and understand

They all love me . . .for who I am

This is a poem to alert people about suicide. People who are rejected from others sometimes think the pain is all too much, so they take their own lives. Some people do not understand that others love them for who they really are.  Please comment if you support this.

This is personal for me because sometimes I wish it would all be over, sometimes I wanted to kill myself and save me some pain. But with help from friends and no counsellors, I came to realise that everyone has meaning in life, and no soul is wasted, empty or useless.
