Chapter 3: Morning

"Uh.. Susie?.." Kris said gently poking the sleeping monster on the shoulder waiting for her to awaken. "W-Wha..? Kris..?" Susie said half awake looking up at Kris, her hair falling to the sides in her face instead of over her eyes. "You fell asleep with uh.." Susie went to wipe her eyes before realizing her hand where already occupied at the sides of Noelle. "What the?!" She pulled her hand away fast but gently as to not wake up the girl. What had happened last night? She couldn't quite remember but what she did know is that she was 'snuggling' with her. Thats the part that made her cringe the most, it just didn't sound like her. Badass, mean, tough. These where all things that came to mind when someone said 'Susie' but cuddling? No, she COULDN'T have. However, Noelle was asleep so Susie figured she wouldn't remember anything that happened. As she came to, Susie slid from under Noelle and pulled herself up with the night stand because her legs where asleep from holding Noelle all night. "Sleep well?" Kris teased, chuckling getting a nice sock in the shoulder. "Ow!" "Don't even. I uh, wasn't thinking last night, I was tired okay?" Kris rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Pfffft! What ever you say." Kris walked to the door and looked back at her. "Moms ready to go sooo, hurry it up alright?" Susie shrugged and started trying to fix her hair. "Mmmh.. G-Good morning.." Noelle said yawning and rubbing her eyes. Susie didn't say anything back and continued to brush her hair with Kris's brush. It was a long moment of silence as Noelle stood up and fixed her clothes. "Jeez... My mom is going to have a heart attack heh.." Noelle said sighing as she walked to the door and quickly left the room having the feeling Susie still doesn't want to talk to her. Susie watched her leave the room and sensed the uneasy feeling.

Noelle came downstairs to Kris eating and Toriel washing a few dishes. "Oh? Hello dear, I was unaware that stayed the night." Noelle nervously smiled and sat in a chair next to Kris at the table. "Ehh.. I-Im sorry.. I kinda just fell asleep.." Toriel shrugged and smiled warmly at her. "It's alright, it happens I just hope your mom will be okay with it." Noelle nodded in agreement. Susie came downstairs in silence and slumped in the chair across from Noelle. "Good morning Susie." Toriel said putting a plate of bacon, eggs, and pancakes in front of Susie and Noelle. "Mornin." Susie said quite bluntly then she started eating, shoving a whole pancake down her throat. Noelle blushed and looked at how big the pancake was compared to her own mouth. "U-Um, Miss Toriel.. I can't except this! I'll just eat at lunch." Toriel walked over to her and patted her head. "Don't worry about it dear, we had extra's anyway." Toriel smiled and walked to the front door and opened it. "Please come outside when you are done children." With that being said, she walked out and closed the door behind her.

A wave of silence washed over the house. Noelle sheepishly ate her food as did Kris, but Susie continued to choke down her food. "Susie that's gross!" Kris said trying to cover his food. "Your just jealous you can't do that." Susie laughed. They went back and forth for a while just dishing insults to each other. "Your just a human!" Susie said jokingly. "Oh yeah? Well you just like Noelle!"

All at once Susie stopped laughing and stared at Kris. "Shit." Kris said under his breath. Noelle looked at Susie and then at Kris confused. "What?" "Nothing, it's really nothing. So don't even think about it." Susie said standing up as she tossed her plate into the sink with a loud clash. Then silently walked outside slamming the door behind her, leaving Kris and Noelle alone in silence.

After some time, Kris and Noelle got done with eating and headed outside. Once they where outside they got into Toriel's car. The car started and Toriel could tell there was some tension. "So, Noelle where exactly did you sleep?" Toriel said looking in the rear view mirror at her. "O-On the floor, it was really okay though!" Toriel sighed. "If only I knew! I'll make sure the next time you stay it will be MUCH more enjoyable." Toriel said feeling as if she's failed in some way. "It's alright Miss Toriel! It was still enjoyable." Toriel fixed the rear view mirror back as they pulled into the parking space of the school. Everyone got out and Susie was the first to enter the school, then Toriel and Kris, Noelle followed them closely. After a small hug Kris walked away from Toriel for the day and entered class. Noelle walked into class and slid down into her seat ignoring everyone as all she could really think about was if Kris meant what he said about Susie liking her.

"O-Okay everyone... Are we all ready for class?.." Miss Alphys said trying to get the class quite but like usual everyone was talking payed no attention to her. All the chit chatted came to an abrupt stop when the door slammed open. "Where is Noelle?" A tall deer monster with a few gray streaks in her other wise mustard blonde hair was standing in the doorway. "H-Hello Mrs. Holiday..." Alphys managed to say.
