Chapter 7: Breakfast

[3rd person POV]

A gentle but cold breeze blew on Noelle's fur making it especially cold because of the new and old tears that where running down her cheek. She woke up not wanting to move from the warmth of Susie's body, but she knew it wasn't very safe to stay in an ally the whole day. She carefully shook her head letting her antlers hit the sides of Susie's snout gently. "S-Susie..? Come on.. wake up please.." Apparently Susie was a heavy sleeper and remained asleep. Noelle simply sighed and got up from her lap and stretched. "Jeez.." Noelle said holding her stomach. She was starving. She couldn't quite remember if she ate dinner or not before getting kicked out, but settled on the fact that she didn't.

She walked over to Susie. Noelle felt pretty bad for waking the girl in her sleep but Susie had been living like this for a while and Noelle figured she knew how to get food. "Susie.. Wake up." She said shaking her shoulder. "Hmm?" Susie said half sleep yawning. "I don't mean to be needy but, I'm really hungry.." Susie rubbed her eyes and slowly stood up cracking a few bones. "Ah, alright. We'll get breakfast then. You got your money right?" Noelle paused and had a mini panic attack. "Um.. A-Actually.. I don't.. hehe.." Susie sighed but quickly picked up a better attitude. "Okay, thats fine. We can get some food else where." Susie was a bit annoyed by this inconvenience but choose to not let it get in the way of trying to make Noelle's situation better.

After a bit of walking Susie pulled Noelle to the back of 'ICE-E's PEZZA' and opened a dumpster. "Heh! Jackpot!" Susie snarked before leaning over in the dumpster and grabbing three boxed of half eaten and/or rotten pizzas. Noelle looked at them and begun to gag, trying to suppressed the urge to vomit. "Y-You want me to e-eat this?..." Noelle said looking confused at Susie. Susie grinned and shrugged. "I dunno, got any better ideas?" Before trying to answer she stopped and realized everyone in the whole probably town knows about her being a... ya'know. So if what her mom said was correct, she doubts that anyone would be open to give them any food. "No.." Susie's grin only grew wider as she took a slice of the pizza and bit into it. Gross? Yes. Probably poison? Definitely. But it was all she had and she had gotten used to the life style. Noelle on the other hand was used to luxury foods. So this was all very new to her. She nervously took and slice of pizza and took a bite of a rather large piece, but as soon as she swallowed she hunched over and puked it all up anyways. Susie just watched her and ate more, snickering. "Ack! G-God damnit!.." Noelle sputtered out then whipped her mouth with her sleeve. "You'll get used to it!" Susie laughed as she smacked Noelle's back and downed the rest of her pizza. "S...So much for breakfast huh?.." Noelle said trying to wipe the little bit of vomit on her sleeve off. "Yeah hah, I guess." Susie said stuffing her hand in her pocket, the other hand rubbing Noelle's back. "C'mon we gotta get to school right?" Noelle looked up at Susie, and nodded in agreement.

They started to walk to school and the whole time people yelled and cursed at them. Noelle grabbed Susie's arm and snuggled into it, trying to hide her face from the public. "You alright Noelle?" Susie said looking down at the deer. "I-I'm Fine.. It's just a lot of negative attention..Your okay with this...?" Susie shrugged. "Yeah, the attention sucks ass." Susie growled and let out a hard sigh. "But, I'll kick their ass if they mess with you though." Noelle blushed hard with Susie words and leaned into her more slightly giggling. "You know I would do that for you Ell." Noelle nodded. "I know!" They continued to walk and approached the school. "Howdy faggots!" Snowy teased laughing at them. "Go make some hot lesbian porn, then you'll be useful for something!" Another kid yelled and Noelle's eyes watered. "Don't listen to them. Besides-" Susie said playful squeezing Noelle's side. "Maybe we should~" Noelle's ears perked up and her whole face (and her nose) lit up with a bright red. "S-Susie! That's gross!" She said playfully pushing her. Susie laughed loudly rubbing Noelle's head. "I'm only teasing! Jeez, Haha!"
