Chapter 5: Confession

Both Susie and Noelle walked out the school and far down the road to the lake front. A stand was next to the lake selling hot dogs and ice cream. "Hey there!" Said the tall blue rabbit like monster working the stand. "Yeah hey, can I get two hotdogs?" The man nodded enthusiastically and started making the hot dogs and Susie searched around in her pockets for lose cash. "Susie.. You don't have to pay! I'm the one supposed to be taking YOU out." Noelle said taking out her money from her wallet a lot easier. Though she was going to object, Susie figured it looked way less pathetic and simply rested her hands in her pocket. "Uh, sure.." "Here ya two are! Enjoy!" The man said handing them both the hot dogs and Noelle handed him a twenty. "Keep the change!" Noelle said smiling at him and seemingly brightening up his day. "Hah, you spend money like you have money to spare." Susie said snickering and walking to a bench next to the lake. "I.. uh.." Noelle wanted to say that she DID have money to spare, being the mayors daughter and all. "Heh, forgot about the whole 'I'm from rich descent' thing." Susie said cutting Noelle off. "I don't want to be looked at like an expensive object.." Noelle said smiling at her a bit nervously. "I know, I was just saying." Susie shrugged feeling a bit bad for mentioning her wealth, but acted like it didn't bother her. Noelle nodded and took a bite of her hot dog. Both girls then sat down on the bench and looked in different directions. After a while Noelle finished up her hot dog and looked at Susie who hadn't even touched hers. She looked disturbed by something. "Are you o-okay? I'm sorry if you wanted to pay.." Susie stoped day dreaming for a moment and looked at Noelle. "Oh uh, it's not that." Susie said clutching the hot dog. Noelle looked concerned at her. "Well.. what is it? If you don't mind me asking..." Susie didn't immediately respond, instead her breathing got a little funny. "Susie... A-Are you-" "No. I couldn't buy you one simple fucking hotdog."

Susie said looking straight down to the floor. Noelle smiled gently despite being cut off by Susie. "It's alright.. it's just lunch!" She smiled. "It's not just lunch.. it's every day.." Noelle was confused. "What do you-" "IM FLAT BROKE OKAY?!"

Her gently smile turned into a sad one. "Oh... I-I'm so sorry.. I didn't know.." Susie's breathing wavered and tears rolled down her face slowly but she quickly wiped her cheeks. "I'm fine, it's not your fault.. It's uh a long story." Noelle sighed awkwardly and adjusted her seating like she was getting comfortable to hear the story. "Heh, eager are we? Nah, I'll keep this story for another day." Noelle was a bit disappointed but respected her privacy. "Alright.. it's a bit late isn't it?" Susie nodded and stood up shoving the hotdog down her throat.

They both started to walk down the street as it began to got dark. "Guess we kinda skipped school huh?" Susie said putting her hands in her pockets. Noelle walked by Susie's side and nodded feeling slightly bad for deceiving her mother but good for spending time with her crush. On the way Susie looked over at Noelle. "Noelle? Can I ask you something?" Noelle looked up at her. "Yes?" Susie hesitated but asked the question anyway. "Do you really like me?" Noelle froze at the question and blushed insanely. "Yeah... I hope this doesn't m-make you think less of me.." Susie's face turned insanely pink as she put her hand behind her head. Noelle quivered and waited for her response. "That's uh, cool.." Noelle was upset with Susie answer as she didn't confirm if she liked her back or not. She felt her stomach drop and her heart break.

They got to Noelle's house fast enough and where soon right in front of the gate. Susie whistled at the size of her house. "Well.. b-bye.." Noelle said a bit upset as she started to walk to her house. "God.. Noelle wait!" Susie yelled after her. Noelle stopped and turned around to face her. "Y-Yeah?" Susie slowly walked to Noelle and pulled her hair back from in front of her eyes in which Noelle responded with a faint blush appearing on her cheeks and her nose slightly glowing red. "S-Susie.. your eyes..." Susie stoped smiling and looked away. "Yeah, I know, ugly right?" Noelle shook her head and stepped closer to Susie looking up at her. "No.. I was going to say... they're really beautiful.." Susie's face heated up as the young deer came closer to her and put her finger under the tall monsters chin. Susie leaned her head down and pushed Noelle's head up gently kissing her. It was a rough but still very good kiss, one that Noelle would remember forever. After they pulled away Noelle tried to regain her breath and simply stared into Susie's eyes. It seemed like a perfect kiss and a perfect moment..

"NOELLE, HOUSE NOW!" Noelle and Susie froze. "Shit..."
