M'gann was usually not one to invade a person's privacy, not after the team had told her that it wasn't a part of the human custom. But the emotion coming from Robin couldn't be blocked out. It was like a tidal wave, after feeling nothing from him, ever, that night Zee had moved in his emotions had spiked right up, attraction the most noticeable. Almost at a level that would drive most people insane. And that just led her to think about her and Conner. They were close, had been going out for a year, but could he ever really love her? He could love the idea of the girl he'd gotten to know, the good girl, green martian. But that wasn't what she was, what she would ever be. She was a white martian. A lesser species, an ugly species, an enemy species. Could he ever love who she really was?
"You seem distracted," Conner said as he came in with her tea, "Rehearsals finally wearing you out?"

"Are they ever," M'gann said as she took the drink, glad to get her mind from those thoughts, "I didn't think it would be this hard with our other lives on top."

"Just be thankful Batman's tried to reduce our workload," Conner said, "This girl is the first job in almost a week."

"But where do you think that work is going?" M'gann asked, "I think Dick's been out by himself on them. His emotions have started going mad."

"And that's connected because..." Conner pressed.

"He normally keeps them under lock and key, maybe he's tired and can't keep it up anymore," She explained, "I mean, that's a theory anyway."

"Want to tell me exactly the emotions of our most secretive member?" Conner asked, "Anything interesting?"

"A mad infatuation, like proper crazy," She admitted, "I fear if it continues he'll drive himself insane."

"Well then, let's hope he keeps it under control," He said and gave her a quick peck on the cheek, "Just remember he's not your problem."

"Robin B01, Zatanna B08."

M'gann and Conner looked up at the sound of the pair arriving and the two walked in, arm in arm, and giggling like the Joker and Harley. It was odd seeing Robin so open, his usually closed demeanour completely gone. But M'gann could sense his emotions. Sense two warring emotions, love and emptiness. It was definitely going to drive him insane if he kept it up.

"You two look like you're having fun," Conner commented.

"We are," Zee replied, "The most."

"Guest"

They looked back over to the zeta beams as the girl came in. Bette.

"This is the meta-girl," Robin explained, "Bette Kane. Bette, this is Miss Martian and Superboy."

"Hi," She said meekly.

"Hello," M'gann said as she moved over to the girl, "I know you're probably a little scared right now, don't worry, we've all been there. Soon, you'll be loving your meta-gene."

"And, I am sure that we will make fast friends," Bette and M'gann turned to Kaldur as he emerged from his room, "I am Aqualad. You must be Bette."

"Yes," She said, sounding a little sceptical but with a pointed look from Zee her face quickly smoothed over and the look was gone.

"Kid Flash B02. Rocket B09."

"That's those two, "M'gann said as they came, "They actually have meta-genes themselves, so they'll be the most help to you."

"We are just waiting on one more now," Kaldur explained, "Then we shall be able to start our training."

"Yeah, the liar," M'gann heard Wally mutter under her breath.
