Saturdays were Conner's favourite day. No school and a whole day with M'gann. Nothing could even begin to compete. However, there is a catch nowadays, he had Heather's rehearsals.

"Conner, we're going to be late," M'gann said, still half asleep, "We need to get up."

"What time is it?" He asked as he sat up.

"8," She said, "We still need to get there."

"Stupid show," He mumbled as he threw off the covers and began to slip into his clothes, M'gann doing the same.

They had a quick breakfast and then took the motorcycle down to the theatre, M'gann's arms wrapped tightly around his waist. Conner parked it up outside and they headed inside the auditorium to see they were amongst the first there. The only other current person being Zee.

"Heya Zee," M'gann called and the magician turned to face the couple.

"Oh, hi guys," She said, "How are you doing?"

"Life is great," M'gann said as they sat down next to her, "What about you?"

"How did you know you were in love?" She asked out of nowhere and took them both by surprise, "I mean, how did you know that you wanted to be with each other?" She was turning redder with every word.

It took M'gann a moment to form the words, "Well, I guess it was that I couldn't picture a future without him. No matter how hard I tried he was always there. And it was that he was always there for me, it just seemed natural."

Conner nodded in agreement as she looked at him and she almost seemed to relax.

"You trying to work up the nerve?" He asked as they settled back into silence, "Who is it?"

"I'm hoping to ask them on Monday," She said.

"But who is it?" M'gann pressed.

"Fine, it's Robin," She said, somehow turning even redder.

"What are we saying about Robin?" Wally came over before Conner had time to work the shock out of his system.

"Zee's going to ask him out on Monday," M'gann said with a wide grin.

"Congrats Zee," Wally said, though he did not sound at all sure, "Seems like everyone on the team is hooking up with each other. It'll be Raquel and Kaldur next."

"I can see that," M'gann mused, "It would be cute."

Conner could see it too, but he wasn't joining in with this conversation. Couldn't really be bothered too. Eventually, people started turning up through the door and rehearsals came to a start.

--------------------------------------------------------

The first break came around quickly and Conner was grateful, with the whole cast called for the day to run literally everything in the first act, it was tiring. It had taken them around 2 hours but Glyn was hoping to half that for the actual show, but it was going okay.

"Alright. For the next two hours everyone we're going to go over some singing. We'll do it all in order up to the end of the first act. You have fifteen minutes before we begin," He called out and then headed over to the other teachers.

Conner watched everyone as they took their breaks, but noticed Richard. He didn't look like he normally did in the news, he was more downtrodden in real life. As if he wasn't living in riches but trying to fight from moment to moment. And he'd made easy friends but then didn't actually talk. As of right now. Zatanna, Wally, the ginger girl from his school and Artemis were all yapping away and he seemed to not even be listening, he was just there.
