Blue. Black. Quiet Tranquility. The room seemed to stretch for miles, glittering crystals embedded in the ceiling, like stars on a night sky. Everything was the shade of blue as the human looked about. Flowers scattered here and there, swaying gently, curiously. There was no wind, and yet they danced in a slow rhythm. they shined in the darkness of the field, like small lanterns to calm the dark. The girl's eyes traveled to other islands that looked the same, surrounded by slow moving water; lily-pads, cattails and the occasional lantern bug drifting in the air.

"Where am I?" the girl whispered, only to be asked the same question in a softer voice. Her head swiveled, to see who asked that. But no one was there...just the flowers and bright blue water that trickled along the islands that were scattered. The humans attention was brought down to a blue flower near their hands; it seemed to move, vibrate almost. It repeated what she had said; slowly, quietly, until it became a hum.

All the flowers there seemed to be humming, now that the human was looking around to each one. One flower in particular, almost a purple hue. It began saying other words in a quiet voice as if it had been talked to before the human got there. Occasionally shadows would loom about the area, the girl didn't notice...but the shadow noticed her.

"It's too late for them, give up"

"It's too late for them, give up"

"Don't give up hope, keep trying"

"Remember who you are, where you came from"

"She won't back down, she'll fight till she wins"

With each new word there was always a pause, the flower would move in the opposite direction of the rest, and hum before repeating the next set of words.

"You'll never win, why do you try"

"Just keep trying, you'll get better"

"Don't touch her"

"He's quite the looker"

The girl was transfixed, it was so much she didn't understand. And yet, she listened, it had to be important...right?

"He's broken, has been for years"

"You can't fix a shattered soul"

".......You are our vessel"

The flowers surrounding the girl quietly repeated each word after the purple one. Never keeping the words very long, but slowly going back to a hum just like before.

"I'm fine"

"It's going to be ok, Kiddo"

"Were all rooting for you"

The words that came out of the purple flower all had different voices. Some sounded calm, others sounded like screams, even for the whispering half.
