Exactly fifteen hours had passed. The ruins as quiet as ever, the light trickle of water, and occasional pebble that fell out of place. Almost dark enough to conceal whatever else could be looming in the dark corners.

In the middle lay a bed of flowers. Gold and yellow, no particular scent to them either. The flowers spread as a blanket of the golden plant, some of the flowers took odd shapes, whilst others looked to be too perfect.

It was going normally as the room always would each day, if not for the more abundant stones starting to fall from up above. More following suit, with dust and dirt; the human had fallen in.

A loud gasp escaped the girl who fell to the floor, despite the flowers being beneath her. A crack, a shatter, and a call of shooting agony escaped the fallen victim. "Well ain't that the greatest..." they cursed behind clenched teeth after what felt like a century of holding their now fractured leg; both hands holding onto it to attempt and help the pain. Not touching the would, but enough to try and keep it stable with the way they were laying. The rest of their body stinging, as if they'd been pinned by two boulder smashed together.

Pained tears dripped down the already dirty face, the impact was a bit unbearable to handle for the girl. They twisted their head from side to side. All they could really see was the flower bed. Between their hissing of teeth and slight groans, they could sense they weren't in such a big room due to there being no large echo. Looking up, giving them possibly some sort of estimate on how far they fell.

"Must be at the bottom of the mountain...Perfect." Their green eyes tried to make out anything else in the room, to no avail. "Hello.." It wasn't much of a reach out to any unidentified being to answer back back, more of a comforting reassurance that they were alone.

The human sighed. "Welp...might as well try and get outa this mess." With a few minutes to gather a bit of strength after the initial shock, and rub the now pounding temple, the girl tried to balance on one leg. That proved to be painful, as expected. 'Grin and bare it' she repeated in her head. Hoping once on the leg as she tried to grasp her jeans to maneuver the broken, dangled appendage.

"Howdy, Human Ashtray!" Called a very high pitched and squeaky tone

"Howdy, Human Ashtray!" Called a very high pitched and squeaky tone. The girl almost jumped out of her own boots from the sudden voice. Looking around only to find a lone yellow flower...with a smiling face, looking right back at her. "You look a little lost. Welcome to the underground." The girl gave a very shy and awkward wave to the chuckling flower; completely baffled.

'Must of hit my head hard coming down' she thought as she studied this now bouncing plant. It continued to smile her way as it talked, "Haven't seen the likes of me huh. Funny enough, I know who and what you are. N' you have not a clue! Chara will love you..." It laughed at the fact, almost like it was happy to know it's own little secret. "How long till your stupidity-streak snaps and yo-" The sound of a large stone door opening caught both the human and the talking flowers attention.

"Sorry there, little Ms. Pile of Flesh and Bone. I gotta skedaddle. Meetcha on the other side...if they don't kill you first." The happy squeaking voice turned harsh and cold at the last words, and the flower plopped into the earth, vanished like a worm. The girl clutched at her chest with a completely different pain, like a growing tear ripping into her chest, burning from the inside. Slowly but surely, her right eye began to glow a sickening bright red.

"Oh my goodness! Are you hurt?" The human whipped their head as fast as their pained body let them, face to face with a figure in the dark. She didn't answer the...thing, back. Just a bewildered and a bit scared expression riddled all over her face. 'If they kill me...I'm broken, course they're gonna kill me. Probably torture me first.' The girl began shivering violently now. The thought of getting dragged away, maimed and mauled by beasts, the desire to flee like the prey that she was.

"It's alright. No harm will come to you. I'm surprised you got injured from the fall? Must be because of how big you are!" The figure stepped forward. Taller then the human, and almost anthropomorphic in features. Mostly showing in the face. That of a white goat with gentleness in the eyes and softer features. She wore a long purple robe that came to her feet. A symbol splayed across the front of the robe; three triangles and one circle that was accompanied by wings. "My name is Toriel. Caretaker of the Ruins...which you just so happened to break your leg in. Oh my, did you're eye get damag-" She looked at the girl with a concerned frown and droopy ears. She was concerned? She wasn't even human? Was she what the warnings were about, all the stories she'd heard...what the flower had just warned you about? The monsters trapped below?

"Stay back." Harsh words that sang shortly through the room and out the hallway Toriel has just entered from. The girl's mind in a whir of panic, trying to figure out a way to escape. Head spinning, quickened breath, panicked eyes. She limped back to get further away as Toriel stepped closer. The girls right eye blazing brighter red.

"Please darling chil-" Her words were halted as she witnessed the human fall, clumsily with a dangling leg, there was no doubt in falling with the uneasy balance. The monster covered her mouth as she witnessed, shielding a worried gasp as the human went back to the ground, to struggle to get back up again.

"This won't do. If you won't hear my words, I'll have to resort to being physical." The goat looked through the entrance she came out of. In it was a glow of a neon blue flame. It danced in the dark as a bony hand outstretched in the direction of the fallen human. "Please Sans...they'll keep hurting themselves, I fear for the worst if they continue. Just be gentle with them..."

"Don't you touch me, I'll fight even wi-" Getting back to their feet, the girl tried hopping in the same direction they were going as they threaten the two monster. Once their foot was off the ground, the whole atmosphere became weightless and shrouded in blue. "What in t-" Stopped short by what felt like a clutched grasp around their very being. The human slowly became limp, a fighting spirit yes and she struggled hard to keep awake before giving in , but not without a few good words to spat, "I won't.....stop fighting....."

With that, they were out cold, their once flaming red eye returning to normal. Suspended in the air, before gently being put back into the bedding of golden flowers. Both monsters gave a soft sigh after Sans put her to the ground. Toriel got closer, Sans only following suit half way.

"Their so much bigger then the last few who fell. I wonder why? No matter, time is of the essence to heal the poor child!" Sans left eye still held the same glow, but his right showed the white pupil as he looked to his friend. Then back to the unconscious human. Toriel shook her head, "I'll never understand how you can knock humans out like that without damage." Sans gave a cheeky smile to his much taller friend.

"Doesn't take much, really. No sweat of my bones!" The two of them laugh quietly, looking back to the girl. "She's got some fight in her though, the drive to continue." Sans looked back to the limp body. Unsure if Toriel had noticed the human's eye glow as they fought back. Sans more surprised that they were able to fight back in such a critical condition.

How easy he could of crushed her, she was a literal toothpick, ready to snap; yet still threatened, still she made a point to warn them that'd she'd protect herself. She wasn't like all the others who came through, despite being injured and unable to travel very far. He couldn't put his mind to it, but it bothered him a tad. Something was off, but he couldn't feel if it was good or bad yet, the only concerning factor was the glow in her eye...he only knew one other human to have that glow.

"Come come, we must be off. That leg won't heal staring at her all day." Toriel knelt down to the sleeping girl, gathering her up and lifting off the ground to head out. Sans following behind Toriel as they came up to the queen's residence. Returning to a more cozy scene of a home, seemingly carved into the side of the ruins.
