After going to the greenhouse, finding barbed wire and a few items to make a bomb for Mitch and helping Ruby bury the school's old nurse, Clem walks into the room to see you sitting on AJ's bed as he lays down and sleeps. "How is he?" Clem asked you. "He's doing better." You replied. "How did it go at the greenhouse?"
"Better than I expected." Clem said just as the door opens and Louis walks in, carrying a load of clothes. "Brought you these. I noticed his shirt got messed up, when....you know." He said as he walks over to the desk and sets the clothes down. "Where did you get those?" You asked him. "They were Tenn's, back when he got here. Should be about AJ's size." He said then he looks over at AJ.
"How's he doing?" Louis asked. "Better. He's fever's down." You replied. "Thanks for half carrying me in." Clem said to Louis. "No problem." Louis said, after he gives a slight nod. "So, we've got a greenhouse again. And bombs." Louis said. "Mitch's idea." Clem stated. "I figured. Violet says we'll start getting this place ready in the morning." Louis said to you two.
"Good." You and Clem said. "They all seem okay with letting you guys stay. For now, anyway " He said. "Yeah, we're glad. All we wanted is for them to forgive us." Clem said. "I said they're fine with you guys being here, at least 'til the raiders are gone. That doesn't mean they all like you guys again." said Louis.
"Everyone else is okay with us staying. What about you?" You asked him. "It's fine, while he gets better." Louis said as he gestures to AJ. "And after that?" Clem asked. "I don't know, Clement." Louis replied, shrugging.
"Guys?" AJ said in a weak voice and both you and Clem turn to him. "Hey, kiddo. How do you feel?" You asked him, concerned. "Better. Still hurts." AJ said as he places his hand on his wound. "I know." You said to him softly.
AJ looks over and sees Louis. "Hi, Louis." He greets, happily. Louis smirks and waves at AJ. "Hey, little dude." He said. "I missed you." AJ said. "Are we friends again?" Louis frowns and looks around as you and Clem look at him. "Just get some sleep. Okay?" Louis said to him then he begins to walk out of the room.
"Louis?" You and Clem said and Louis stops and looks over his shoulder at you two. "We're sorry. That you're hurting, and, uh, it's our fault." Clem said to him. "It wasn't all you. Marlon, he....forget it. I should go." Louis said and he walks out of the room and shuts the door.
"I'm not mad at him anymore. Are you guys?" AJ asked. "AJ, Clem and I were never mad at him." You replied.
"Yeah, we understand why he acted that way. Why he wanted us gone." Clem said to him. "Me, too." AJ said.
"Let's get a look at the shirts Louis brought you. Then we'll sleep. It's been a long day." You said as you and Clem walk over to the desk. "Yeah. You didn't sleep last night." AJ said to Clem. "Nope." Clem said. You two look and see three shirts but one caught your eye. "Hey. look! It's Disco Broccoli and his friend." You said and AJ looked excited. "I wish you could've seen this cartoon." You said to him. "I know! It was the best!" Clem said. "I wish I saw it too!" AJ said.
Then Clem points at the sport jersey looking shirt. "Hey, this one's pretty cool." Clem said. "Hm, looks like Marlon's jacket." AJ said, unsure. "Hm, yeah. But it would still look good on you." Clem said then you point at the third shirt that had a dog looking superhero on it. "How about this one?" You asked. "It looks like Tenn's boots." AJ pointed out. "Yeah, I think it's the same character." You said and Clem picks up that shirt.
"This'll work. You can put it on when you feel better, okay?" Clem said AJ. "Yeah." AJ said as he lays back down on the bed. "Time for sleep." You said. "I can't sleep with the light." AJ said. "I'll blow it out in a second." Clem said and you go and sit on the floor next to AJ's bed.
