"Hey" Jaebum then started with a soft, low voice, catching all of his attention. "Let's go somewhere warm. Is my place okay?"
Youngjaes cheeks were burning hot, he wasn't sure whether it was because of the offer or the cold. He agreed nevertheless. Still, the young boy couldn't help but to feel a bit nervous too, after all it would be the first time he's visiting Jaebum.
"Let's go." Youngjae smiled, he couldn't take his eyes off the elder. Oh how badly he just wanted to embrace him here and then, to see more of his wonderful smile. Everything felt unreal for Youngjae and Jaebum too. He was hoping this would be the start of something special, something that would last for a long time.
Jaebum pulled Youngjae with him. The sun has faded by now, the lanterns illuminating the otherwise empty streets around them. The warmth radiating from Jaebums hand on Youngjae's own made the awful cold a bit more bearable.
Once the two arrived at his place, they quickly took off their shoes and jackets before getting to his living room. The remains of the cool were still lingering on the youngers cheek, painting them in a soft red colour. Jaebum chuckled at the sight.
Youngjae then took his time to look around. The apartment wasn't big or extraordinarily luxurious, but it was surely comfortable and nicely decorated. Seems like the elder hat a good sense for furniture. "Not bad."
"It's nothing special, really." Jaebum chuckled before making his way to the small kitchen. "I'm going to make us two something to eat."
"Wait." Youngjae followed him, stopping him right before he could even open the fridge. Jaebum looked back at him, a mixture of confusion and concern on his face.
"Can I maybe... cook for us?" Youngjae suddenly asked, fiddling with his fingers. The dark haired boy looked at him for a good five seconds before he gave him a small nod.
"There are some ingredients in here." Jaebum knocked at the fridge's metallic door. "Surprise me."
And with a cocky wink he went back to the living room, leaving Youngjae alone. He sighed, a bit nervous. Yes, he may have cooked some meals for Yugyeom already, but this situation was something else. It just seemed like Youngjae forgot every recipe he knew before.
Except for one.
Once he remembers, Youngjae started by getting out the lettuce, tomatoes, some onion and cheese. He washed the vegetables underneath the tap before cutting the onion carefully.
The young boy proceeded by doing the same to the lettuce when he suddenly felt a pair of arms wrapping around his waist from behind. He got a slight shock, almost slipping with the knife, but quickly collected himself again when he realized it was just Jaebum.
"How's it going?" He whispered into Youngjaes ear, his head rested comfortably on his shoulder. The younger felt a massive shiver running down his spine.
"Great." He answered, trying to seem unbothered as he continued to cut the vegetables in front of him. Meanwhile Jaebum said nothing, still holding onto him tightly. Youngjae's body was filled with warmth from head to toe only from that simple action alone.
Youngjae leaned back, closing his eyes for a good minute. He didn't want him to stop, wanted to feel even more of this, but the hunger got the best of him. The younger opened his eyes again before putting the content in a bowl.
"It's finished!" Youngjae then said excitedly after adding the dressing he prepared for his self-made salad. Jaebum let go of him and sat down at the table behind him. Meanwhile, Youngjae served the food on two plates before he fished out some forks from the kitchen drawer.
