All these characters belong to J.K. Rowling and her brilliant mind. The plot alone belongs to me. This book is a sequel to "Turn Back the Clock" but can be read as a standalone.

Rose Weasley 🔝

Rose Weasley was used to the stacks of parchment that surrounded the desk in her office. She was used to spilled ink splotches and endless textbooks stacked in the corner. She was used to students constantly knocking on her office door with questions about their homework.

Yet, even after three years of being a teacher, Rose was not used to students calling her Professor Weasley. It sounded far too formal and made her feel like an old woman, instead of twenty-three.

Still, there was something oddly satisfying about being called a Professor. It only further solidified that her dream became a reality.

Despite this, she didn't complain as yet another student knocked on her office door, calling "Professor" before letting themselves into her office.

Rose smiled at the young fourth-year student, who nervously clutched onto a roll of parchment. "What is it, Julia?"

Julia rubbed her arm sheepishly. "I was wondering if you could look over my Accio essay? I think I got most things right, but I want to make sure before we have to hand them in tomorrow."

Rose smothered her grin and nodded, beckoning the student closer to her desk, so that she may take the essay.

Much like Rose was in her days at Hogwarts, Julia was a classic overachiever. It was not uncommon to find her carrying around stacks of books or turning in essays ten times the length requirement. Something Rose herself often used to do. Perhaps that is why she was so fond of the young girl.

Scanning through the rather long essay, Rose took her quill and marked a few lines that need revision. Finishing, Rose glanced at her student. "Excellent work, as always Julia."

Julia beamed.

"However," Rose continued pointedly. "You've put that no living thing can be summoned using Accio. While it is true for the most part, flobberworms can be accioed. This, I believe, you can find on page 73 of your textbook."

Julia bit her lip disappointed. "I can't believe I missed that! I'll change it right away Professor." Taking her essay back, quickly glancing at the corrections, Julia said a polite thank you and exited the office.

Rose watched her go, an amused smirk threatening to grace her face. Moments like that reminded her exactly why she worked so hard to become the youngest professor Hogwarts had ever seen.
As soon as she graduated Hogwarts, she was hired to assist the school's current Charms teacher, Professor Flitwick, who was on the verge of retirement. For two years, Rose helped him with class demonstrations, graded papers, tutored underachieving students, and handled every minuscule task thrown her way. There were a lot of sleepless nights and days that left her ready to pull her hair out. It was tiring work, but it paid off in the end. When Professor Flitwick retired after two years, Headmistress McGonagall gave Rose the job as the new Charms professor when she was only nineteen years old.

Nearly four years later and Rose loved her job. It was hard work. That was undeniable but it was rewarding.
She loved engraving knowledge into her student's minds, interacting with them, and everything else that came along with teaching. From September first until the end of June, Rose's entire life revolved around her students and teaching duties. Which made it extremely hard for her to have a social life when a majority of her days were spent in the classroom. Somehow she managed to make time for her family and her boyfriend. A boyfriend who was probably waiting for her at home.
