FARIDA'S POV
I couldn't sleep at night , as so many thoughts kept crossing my mind.
"How will I cope with university life? "
"How am I going to live without mum's delicious food and emotional support? "
"How am I going to live without seeing Dad's heart melting smile? " i asked myself as if someone would answer me .
These were the questions I kept asking myself till the sleep fairies came and took me to the land of dreams...........
While I was in the land of dreams I saw myself getting married to someone.
I woke up the next morning trying to recall the guy's face but I couldn't, all I could recollect from the dream was that he was as fair as cotton! And from all indications he's a shuwa Arab.
"Hmmm why do I care? " I shrugged
"Today is going to be a brand new day for me . Can't believe I'm going to sight the villa, not only sight it but go into it! " I said with a faint smile
I carried my phone and unblocked Bilal. "Ya Allah I can't do this, how do i stay away from him? " i said in tears , as i blocked him again.
"Ohh my! I'm such a bad friend, I didn't inform Laila about my trip and my admission " I sighed
"Bilal is really messing up with my brain" i
Complained
"And I will be leaving today " I added looking sad
"Knock knock " I heard a knock on the door
"Yes, come in" I answered without looking away from my phone to see who was coming in......
"Hey girlfriend! " Laila called out lively
"Hey babe!!! " I exclaimed!
"I was just about to give you a call to tell you about.....
"About your trip to Abuja..... " she completed the sentence for me .
"Whaaaaat! How did you come to know about the trip? Forget about the trip, Do you know that I have.........
"Secured admission to study international relations at NILE university " she completed the sentence again for me .
"Whaaaat! No! I can't believe this. Is this Laila or am I talking to a jinn?" I asked , touching her flesh teasingly .
"ofcourse it's me" she announced laughing .
"Then how did you come to know about all these things?" I asked raising one eye brow
"Well your Dad called my Dad yesterday and informed him that he has secured admission for the both of us to study international relations " she announced enthusiastically!
"Oh my God! I'm losing my breath " I said using my hand to fan myself
"Are you trying to tell me that I'm going together with you?" I asked pinching her on the arm
"Stop it " she said removing my hands from her arms while laughing
"Yes we are so going together!" she announced elated giving me a tight hug
"This can't be a coincidence, Laila spill the beans out " i said throwing a mean look at her .
"Fine! I knew about it all along" she confessed
"Wow! And you told me nothing " i said biting my bottom lip
"No i can explain. Baba made me promise I won't say a word about it to you , so i had to keep shut " she concluded
