By the time Percy had reached Camp Half Blood, the sun was setting. He bit his lip as he realized that Apollo would be getting home soon to an empty house.
Home . . . It's been a while since he's had somewhere to call home. After the whole thing with his mom then camp losing its safeness, Percy had left the word in the back of his mind, isolating it to the point of almost being forgotten.
You do realize that Tyson might not even be here, the voice pointed out. You could have just led yourself into a trap. Percy rolled his eyes, pushing the voice aside as best as he could. Better safe than sorry, he concluded.
He crossed the barrier of the camp, trying to stay on the outskirts of camp, he noticed Nico. Going forward a bit to hid in a large bush, he pulled Nico in when the younger boy walked past. "What the fuck?" Nico practically screamed. "Percy?"
"Shh," Percy silenced the son of Hades. "I want to know if Tyson is here." Nico shook his head, a confused look on his face. Percy sighed. Told ya, the voice chuckled. "Shut up."
"What?" Nico asked. Percy dismissed the question. "Where have you been, anyway? And why the fuck is Annabeth constantly annoying everyone with fucking haikus?"
"Language," Percy teased, earning himself glare. "I don't have time to explain, I'll Iris Message you later and explain. But now I have to get home."
Before Nico could respond, someone sliced their dagger through the bush, grabbing Percy's arm. He yelled as he was dragged out. In a matter of seconds, a knife was held at his throat. "Annabeth, let him go," Nico warned. Annabeth ignored him.
"I swear to the Gods.
I will kill you, Perseus
Unless the curse lifts."Percy couldn't help himself but laugh. He knew Annabeth hates poetry. So her being forced to speak it is hilarious to him. The knife got closer to his neck before he stopped. "What's going on here?" a different female voice rang over to them. This one belonging to Reyna.
"Hey, Reyna," Percy chuckled, not feeling like answering her questions.
"Jackson, what the fuck are you doing here?" she crossed her arms.
"So you're the reason Nico cusses so much!" Percy tried to avoid answering questions. His answer only received him two cold glares. "But I really need to get back to Apollo, so maybe if you'd just lower the knife..."
Nico reached his arm out unexpectedly and shadow traveled them to the cabin. Percy and Nico stood outside of the cabin. "This is where you get to live after getting asked out by a God?" Nico laughed. Before Percy could answer, Apollo was walking out of the cabin.
"Oh there you are!" he sighed in relief. "I thought your dad was going to have to throw me in Tartarus. Where were you? Don't ever leave without me knowing ever again." Then he pulled Percy in for a hug. "I was so worried that you had done something to hurt yourself."
"I just went for a walk," Percy lied.
Apollo hesitated. "You know I'm the God of truth, right?" he asked. "Now, where were you?"
"Fine, I was at Camp Half blood because I was scared that Tyson was there and would get bullied," Percy sighed. He turned to where Nico had been standing, but the other boy was already gone.
Apollo walked Percy into the Cabin, reminding him that he loved him. Percy nodded at the words, comforted by his soft voice.
Annabeth's POV
I watched as Apollo and Percy went inside their cabin. When Nico shadow traveled them away, I had gripped on to Percy's arm and slipped away quickly before either had time to notice me. Now I knew exactly how I could make Percy finally kill himself.
