Cass walked up to Lucas, and they both were smiling. Cass, who was at the verge of tears, was so happy to see Lucas, even if she did see him 5 days a week. She felt that same pain in her heart, the same one she got on Friday. Although she could tell it wasn't because she was sad, it was because of how happy she was to see Lucas. She went up to Lucas and gave him a tight hug, he hugged her back, surprised on how quickly Cass hugged him. Ramon and Kaili watched from a distance, laughing and talking about how cute they looked together. Cass and Lucas blushed and looked at each other in the eyes. Lucas was about to go in for a kiss, but suddenly, Cass looked away and he ended up kissing her cheek.
"Kissing me already?" Cass goofed around with Lucas. Lucas just smiled and chuckled a bit, they all walked into the mall to buy the movie tickets. Cass and Lucas were going to watch "Roma" and Ramon and Kaili were going to watch "A Star is Born". They finished paying for the tickets so they headed out to walk around the mall before the movies actually began. Lucas and Cass were walking throughout the mall when they found a Hot Topic store, so they entered it. Cass looked at the shirts that they had there, which were mostly emo style. Cass remembered that this was the same place she got one of her Shawn Mendes shirts. Meanwhile, Lucas was looking at the Funko Pops that they had, most of them were Five Nights at Freddy's.
"Do you want anything from the store?" Lucas asked Cass.
Cass shook her head, "Oh, Lucas, no, you don't have to."
Lucas pulled out a $20 bill and got the shirt that Cass couldn't stop looking at, "Here's my gift to you."
"Lucas, really, it's not a big deal," Cass said, grabbing Lucas' arm.
"Let me buy this for you," Lucas said.
"I want nothing more but to talk to you and spend time with you Lucas," Cass said, looking at Lucas in the eyes with her green eyes. Lucas put the shirt back where it was and sighed.
"I'm sorry..." Lucas said in a sorrow tone. Cass hugged him.
"It's okay, I just want to spend time with you, that's all I ask for," Cass said, smiling at him. Lucas kissed her on the forehead and hugged her back. In the distance, Kaili and Ramon were at the food court, watching the two having their moment.
"Do you think they're moving on too fast?" Kaili asked Ramon while
"Nah, after all, it is just kisses on the cheek and forehead, stuff like that. Plus, they've known each other for the longest time now." Ramon responded, giving Kaili a Slurpee.
"You're right, and thanks for the Slurpee," Kaili said, smiling from ear to ear before putting the straw in it. It was almost time for the movies to begin, so the two groups headed towards the Cinema. They got popcorn and snacks, Kaili got pocky, Ramon got Jolly Ranchers, Cass got some chocolate, and Lucas got Sour Punch. They separated into two groups once more, with Ramon and Kaili going to theatre 3 and Cass and Lucas in theatre 8. Cass and Lucas sat around the middle area of the theatre. Before the movie began, Cass and Lucas talked about one another.
"So who brought you here?" Lucas asked.
"My mom," Cass replied.
"Oh, she must be nice then," Lucas assumed.
"I guess... she can be mean sometimes though, for the littlest things," Cass ranted.
"A lot of parents are like that sometimes," Lucas said.
"I know, but my mom's beyond that level... like... a monster, even," Cass explained. All of a sudden, the movie began. Cass leaned on Lucas' shoulder, warming them both up. After a couple of minutes, Lucas and Cass both got used to that position, and they shared their snacks with each other. Even though "Roma" was in Spanish and was a Mexican film, it set Cass to tears, it was such a good movie and did well on representing Mexican culture. Lucas comforted Cass when he saw her cry.
He put his arm around her and whispered, "It's okay, don't cry." The movie ended after 2 hours and 13 minutes, and Kaili and Ramon got out a minute afterward.
"Did you like the movie?" Lucas asked Cass.
"Of course, since I got to see it with you..." Cass responded, in a quiet and shy voice. Lucas looked at his phone and saw that his mom texted him that she was ready to pick him up.
"Oh, well I guess I have to go now, guys," Lucas announced, "I'll see you all on Monday." Lucas hugged Cass and kissed her on the cheek.
"Wait, Lucas..." Cass said and he looked back right before leaving, "Are we official now?"
"Y-yeah," Lucas said with a huge smile on his face. He continued on his way out. Kaili, Ramon, and Cass all sat down in the food court, waiting for Cass' mom. Cass got a text from her saying that she wouldn't be until an hour passed.
"So what now?" Ramon asked.
