"Ugh, for now, we can either walk around the mall or sit down for an hour," Cass said, "Or even both." They all got up and started walking throughout the mall.
"So how was your date with Lucas?" Kaili asked Cass.
Cass looked up and answered Kaili's question, "I- I liked it,"
"Aw, that's nice," Kaili said.
"I didn't really care that I didn't even pay attention to the movie, all that really mattered to me was that I spent time with him. Also, right before the movie, I was talking about how my mom's been acting strange lately, she's actually being nice. She's usually very controlling. She hasn't yelled at me in a while, nor has she told me "no" and it feels weird. It's not that I don't like it... It's just... weird. I'm not used to it." Cass explained, on the verge of tears.
"No llores," Ramon said.
Cass wiped her tears before they came pouring out of her eyes, "And another thing, what if she doesn't like Lucas? What if Lucas and I don't last? What if... what if I can't ever be happy again?"
Kaili went up behind Cass and rubbed her back, "There's no need to worry Cass, what happens, happens. If he's not the one, it's best to just move on. You shouldn't be worrying if you're going to marry him or not, after all, you are just a teenager. You have so much time."
"Thank you, Kaili," Cass said, looking at her in the eyes and smiling.
They ended up finding a bench to sit at in the mall, Cass was thinking about her mom not liking Lucas, "But, really, what if my mom doesn't like him?"
Ramon sighed, "It's not about what your mom thinks, it's about you. If you love him, you'll be happy, who cares about what other people think."
Cass looked down, "You're right I shouldn't care about what other people care."
"Yay!" Kaili shouted, happy that Cass became more confident.
Ramon began texting Kanna, "Kannaaaaaa"
"Ramonnnnnnn" She responded.
"I'm so bored, Cass' mom won't be here in another 50 minutessss" Ramon said.
"Haha, well at least you can eat the stuff there," Kanna replied.
"Yeah but I don't know what to eatttt," Ramon complained to Kanna.
"My pussy- I mean what," Kanna texted Ramon.
"Fuck me" Ramon sent to Kanna.
"I thought you two were more like siblings?" Cass asked jokingly while looking at Ramon's phone.
"Shhh," Ramon said, "Haha, Kaili flirts and shit with Nathalie anyways,"
"Whoaaaaaaa," Cass said, "is this like one those tele-novellas you watch?"
"Hell yeah, haha," Ramon said in a goofy voice.
"I'm so hungry," Kaili said.
"You literally ate all of our popcorn, some of my snacks, all of your snacks, and your Slurpee," Ramon said.
"I know but I'm still hungry, I want a real meal to eat," Kaili said. Ramon noticed that he still had $20 left, so he got up and signaled Kaili and Cass to follow him. They were headed to the food court, where they had a Subway, Chick-Fil-A, some Chinese restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and an Auntie Anne. Kaili looked so happy to be surrounded by all these choices of foods. Ramon smiled at how cute she looked. Knowing Kaili, she'd want something from all of them.
"Wait here, I'll go get you something," Ramon said, pointing at an empty table in the middle of all the restaurants.
Ramon waited in line patiently at Subway. While waiting, he noticed that there was a TV that had the news on it. At the bottom of the screen, it said, "Government Shutdown finally ended after 35 days" Ramon sighed. He realized it was his turn to order, so he got a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, then left to Chick-Fil-A. There, he also waited. The TV there had said "21 Days Left Until Trump-" But then Ramon looked away.
"Hey, kid," The man at the counter said.
"Oh, sorry, I was distracted," Ramon said, smiling, to show he was sorry. He ordered some chicken nuggets and left as soon as he got them. He never got the chance to see what it said on the TV since all the other places didn't have a TV. He went to the Chinese restaurant and got an eggroll. He went to the Mexican Restaurant to get their dessert, a flan. It was small though, for 2 or 3 people. That way it'd be easy to that to the tables. He stopped by at the table to drop off the flan since it would get all messed up if he put it in the bag, also, it wouldn't fit.
"Don't eat it until I come back and you guys finish all the food!" Ramon shouted
Cass took a closer look at the flan to see what exactly it was, "It looks like Jell-O but with caramel and a weird texture."
"I think it's flan," Kaili said.
Ramon came back with the last thing, a pretzel, and said, "Time to eattttttt."
